Appreciate you posting your insights into the German media.

I have no doubt that what you are saying is true.

Anyone who has ever sampled CNN International knows the breath-taking vitriol that is directed toward the U.S.

Al-Jazeera has nothing on these guys.

The French and German press specialize in these appallingly ignorant pieces about the US because their audience likes anti-American articles. It makes them feel superior, I guess.

The other thing, truth be told, is that continentals don't really like democratic politics very much, a dislike which the Germans hide behind a facade of support for “liberal” statist projects like the EU, which are fundamentally hostile to democracy and individual liberty.

There’s nothing new here, and nothing to get perturbed about. Europeans have had a socialist mindset ever since the French Revolution and Napolean. The ideas behind the American conservatism and our constitution are based in English common law, and are foreign to continental Europe.

When Europeans see American “intellectuals” and their slaves in the media sneering at those who want limited government, they are looking at a caricature of themselves. So they automatically agree that those of us who don’t go along with the “experts” are ignoramuses.

Europe will stay in its quasi fascist funk until their cultural identity expires about 30 years from now, and they become a suburb of North Africa. In the mean time, the best thing for us to do will be to tend to our own business and avoid the temptation to bail out Europe.

"...the kind of leftist propaganda that is the daily bill of fare here in Germany."

A living tribute to Willi Munzenberg?

"outlandish...notions"

Some years ago I had a girlfriend whose sister had married a German doctor and lived in Germany. One time her sister and two of her children visited my home in western Wisconsin. But first she visited her elderly parents who lived in Milwaukee. The sister was then planning on renting a car and driving across the state to my home. Her German husband forbade her from renting a car because he knew Americans regularly shot at each other on the freeways. So she and her children took a bus.

Seriously though, how did this guy land his job?

This is written with the expertise of a 10th grader who just read the textbook chapter on Nuclear Disarmament.

LOL.

It is a joke. I thought this was a real media outlet in Germany.

Michelle, Cain and Santorum are all legit.

Der Spiegel is roughly equivalent to TIME Magazine. Fortunately for the world at large, Germans do not vote for the American president.

The plural of "ignoramus" is "ignorami". This moron hasn't taken Latin.
