Cain to End Candidacy Tomorrow? (Major Announcement tomorrow.)
Big Government ^

Posted on 12/02/2011 11:35:32 AM PST by sunmars

Embattled presidential candidate Herman Cain is inviting his top supporters and donors to Atlanta on Saturday for a meeting in which he will give them advance word of whether he intends to continue his campaign, sources close to the campaign said Friday.

One supporter who has been summoned to the private session said he believes that Cain is likely to announce he is ending his candidacy.

Another who has been invited to the morning meeting says attendees have been told he has made no decision, but wanted to meet with some of the supporters to express his gratitude.

Several sources indicated that Cain is likely to announce his plans publicly at a news conference after the meeting. Cain had already scheduled an event on Saturday — the grand opening of his national headquarters in his hometown of Atlanta, as well as the announcement of his campaign’s freshly minted senior leadership team for the state of Georgia.

You are living in a dream world. No one feared Cain least of all Obama. It reeks alright but from Cain’s stinking mess.

Americans don’t elect rank amateurs president. They have always demanded some experience in getting elected to public office for their presidents.

So from that comment, I deduce that you consider community organizing acceptable experience to be POTUS?

If Cain should drop OUT...that would be the primary reason NO ONE should donate hard earned dollars to Politicians..let them earn those donated dollars...

I refuse to donate anything to anyone until it comes down to ONE person..The media in this country should hang their heads in shame... For the first time in my 69 years I am truly ashamed of what has become of our Political System and the pussies who make up this Government!!!!!!!!!!!

I am more concerned about his lack of knowledge in foreign affairs such as that leading him to think Syria exported oil as he stated during the last debate. His proposed solution to the Syrian crisis was hysterically nonsensical.

First of all, he is not dropping out.

And secondly, yes, the Obama/MSM/Axelrod vicious ad hominem attack machine--thereupon megaphoned and amplified by the RINO establishment--is now going to go after the next conservative candidates in earnest. They will just have to multi-task their skullduggery with Herman Cain still in the race, but others also in contention, needing such salacious personal attacks and the attempted erosion of their base support through mudslinging and Goebbels "Big Lie". Sad to say, the next "frozen targets" may not get much solace from me, if their supporters were so jubiliant at the first individual hanging, over the last six weeks. They will just go down the the line and character assassinate each GOP candidate one by one. To even let them get past Victim Number One in the first place, by countenancing it in any way or assisting it, should be a scourge of shame upon conservatives for many years. We are not talking Larry Craig here. We are not talking Jon Hinson. We are talking unvalidated hearsay ginned up by a horrific liberal power elite machine, backed up by the likes of GLORIA ALLRED, ESQ. That tells you something right there.

All along, people (including Freepers) had one of two choices on this thing on how to react. To either stop it in its tracks and send it packing for the rest of the 2012 season, or embolden it and enable it, to prove that it as a method works to those who concocted it as a desperate last ditch attempt to keep Obama as our Overlord for four, or maybe even more years--under Martial Law.

What else is there left to say? Really.

I hope he stays in. I can understand if he doesn’t particularly because of the hell it is putting his wife and kids through...but I hope he stays in because I feel the charges are bogus and giving in will embolden those who would find anyone to accuse others of these types of things and try and ruin their credibility and campaigns...and thus choose who aour candidates are.

Many of us do not particularly enjoy being labeled as “heartless” when all we do is simply oppose taxpayer funded benefits for illegal aliens (tuition breaks, etc), or the contents of say the Governor’s on-record comments to the racist, anti-American “La Raza” organization. We had that kind of judgmental moderate diatribe shoved in our faces by the likes of John McCain, Lindsay Graham and George W. Bush under the auspices of “Compassionate Conservatism” and I will be straight with you to let you know their are millions of bedrock Conservative GOP members who do not appreciate the insinuation nor the charge very much at all.

You’re just lashing out cuz you know you didn’t do one thing for Cain except bloviate. Easy to hide behind your user name, isn’t it, safm?
A man’s character is reflected by his actions and from what I can tell, you prefer to sit on your mother’s couch with oatmeal dripping down your shirt, watching TV. LOL.

The thing is, other candidates could be white as the driven snow with respect to woman-problems.

Does not matter.

THEY WILL MAKE IT UP.

THEY JUST DID. And it seems to be working.

This is their enabling. This is their emboldenment. This is what I mean by "they established their proof of concept". They had an attack model with its first test. They watched to see if it would stick and damage somebody even if ginned up, Soviet-like. (This was common under Stalin and others to remove people from public life).

And another thing about that Laura Ingraham. She is really walking on thin ice. I am considering doing an extensive thought piece on FR as a "Vanity" taking this individual's own words calling for a more "moral America" in her now meaningless, hypocritical best sellers, in the context of her own recent verbal behavior before millions in a live audience on the Herman Cain character assassination/mudslinging matter(s), against the context of larger biblical principles. This one really needs to go to a retreat for a week and reflect on her salacious mouth upon the reputations of others and their families and our open electoral political system where the "Great Unwashed" People not the Elites (like her of course) should choose.

I disagree with perry on immigration but newt is worse. I wish perry could get back up there. I prefer him to Romney and newt. I hold out some hope that Cain will live to fight another day.

Take your pick:

1) The big lie.

2) Perception is everything.

3) The ends justify the means.

4) Don’t defeat your opponent...destroy him.

“Just how in the he!! did B. Hussein Obama get elected??? what experience did he have?? clue us in PLEASE...”Sure, I’m always happy to educate. Urkel had multiple elections to the Illinois legislature (a hotbed of wisdom and foresight) and one to a statewide office, the US Senate. One of my criticisms, in addition to him being a Commie crook, was that he did not have enough political experience to be president. He had less than the average president and it shows every day.

Cain has far less than even Urkel. He has NONE. Not good.

Urkel’s elections were attained with the standard RAT tactics of destroying your opponent by having them removed from the ballot or forcing their withdrawal by having (somehow) divorce records unsealed and made public thereby attacking a family and ballot box stuffing by deadbeats and professional election thieves. But they were elections and stand as victories. And they are examples of thousands upon thousands of elections held throughout the history of this county. Elections wherein votes used to be bought for a drink, wherein votes were/are brought out of Old folks homes from people who don’t know what their names are, out of Public Housing where they do what the Precinct Captain says, the Union where they just do what the Labor Bosses say.

But as ludicrous as all this is, it is still the best system available. Cain means little in such a background so don’t get hysterical over his demise.

People elect winners. Cain has never won.

Learn a little history of this nation’s politics and you will find that it was never the rosy scenario you apparently see it in. Politics for a hundred years revolved around the right of one group of men to actually enslave another group of men. It wasn’t even disguised. And it was even bare knuckle. The Great Hamilton was murdered in a “duel” because of his political actions. Newspapers made no bones about which party or candidate it supported and gleefully used any material available to destroy the opposition. The Great Hamilton had an old affair dredged up by Jefferson’s minions and had his political life ruined irrevocably. Madison lost an election one time because he refused to provide a barrel of whiskey to the polling place on election day.

Class warfare emerged clearly by 1800 when Jefferson led attacks on the banks and the “aristocracy”. Class warfare has always worked on the ignorant or envious voter. Nothing new.

Our problems today are great and our people’s ability to recognize them and support viable solutions to them is small. Herman Cain is a symptom of the utter desperation people feel and the willingness to follow a man without a particle of experience in dealing with those problems.

There is a reason I call the media the “Treason Media”. But with Cain all it did was follow the trail a little. It rarely uncovers anything of its own volition. It happily reported what fell in its lap about Cain but consistently refuses to investigate Urkel’s background.

Said Smear Machine would have waited till Cain got the nomination before nailing him to the Wall. Doesn’t seem like this is the source of the slime.

And as Mr. Dooley said “Politics ain’t beanball.”

I guess you didn't read the article and FR thread about Royal Dutch Shell ceasing operations in Syria due to European sanctions.

Syria is a net importer of oil. Saddam provided much of its needs until his overthrow. Iraqi oil is exported through Syria I believe. And was.
