You are terribly misinformed.

I’m sure you have some sort of documentation that would let us know in which universe a Texas child could get a vaccine without his parent actually and purposefully taking him to the doctor or county clinic to get it - much less to get the vaccine without parental notice or consent.

Hmmmmmm....I wonder, in fact, if there is ANY state that gives any kind of vaccine to a child without a parent’s consent? A state where a child is whisked away, strapped to a bed, and forcibly injected.

Uh, no.

Perry, 50, is also a microcosm of recent trends in state politics. The state chairman of Al Gore’s 1988 presidential bid, Perry comes from a family of Texas Democrats.

You're posting an article with inaccurate info. He was never the chairman of Al Gore's Texas Campaign. Tom Jurkovich was the head of Texans for Al Gore.

"we may have named (Perry) to a ‘steering committee’ or as one of several campaign ‘co-chairs,’ typically honorific titles with no real role ... (Perry) wasn't highly involved in the campaign, however, and had zero operational responsibility."

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2011/sep/07/legend-al-gore-and-rick-perry/

Perry was a young Democrat at the time and he endorsed Gore over Michael Dukakis, Gephardt and Jesse Jackson seeing Gore as the more Conservative of those running. He has also stated the he personally voted for George HW Bush in that election.

Yes, the American people, who are usually wrong, hate being “talked down to”. But they never seem to “get it.”

Me too :)

My opinion:

1-Santorum

2-Newt, Michelle

The rest I don't care for.

I have always liked Newt! He has charisma.. he has "star quality" (you can not ignore him), he is smart and all the rest... but I have problems with his moral character. At the same time, I am willing to forgive him at some point... where is that point? I am not sure yet, but like everybody else, I am afraid of 4 more years of OHOMO, who might turn every organization into a queers parade... He is a sicko, so for that reason, I will consider Newt as president. but I would like to see more of Santorum and Michelle. I think we owe them a shot.

Unfortunately, California just passed a law allowing teens to get the HPV vaccination without their parents being notified.

So they are classifying HPV shots the same as birth control related activity as opposed to disease prevention? That makes no sense, does it.

The State will save a lot of money in the long run.

However, it is all kinds of wrong for the State to intervene this way: To tell a teen that his parents don’t need to know, that the State and the teen knows better than the parent.

I am well Las Vegas Ron. Hope you are doing good too.

BTW, what’s your take on 3D television these days. It seems they are ramping it up rather than paring it down.

Not to be argumentative, it’s just that I often think of you when the subject of 3D TV comes up. I have been interested to see what the trend is as it relates to 3D.

Wow, some of those glasses are expensive.

In addition:

Didn’t want to give you short shrift on the topic you touched on.

I agree with your take on it. We are admonished to fight evil, so I guess we don’t have the option to not stand up to it do we.

Take care bud.

The SCOTUS comments are the important ones. The others were too, but you know what I mean. Imagine if we got more Sotamayers (SP? Who cares... ;^) ) in there.

As for Newt, one day he disagrees with Agenda 21, and the next he’s waxing rhapsodic about our impact on global warming. He also talked about a fix that involved trade or business or some such. What the heck?

I just don’t trust the guy.

After hearing his immigration stance, he might just as well call it the Kinder Gentler Immigration policy. You know, no illegal left behind.

I might to listen to one of his Constitutional dissertations. It would be very hard for me to walk across the street to vote for him for President. I sure hope I’m not required to. Ug!

Are you sure you don't have me confused with Las Vegas Dave? He has the HD ping list.

Since you asked though, to me 3D is a fad, personally I prefer DVD on an up scaled player or Blue Ray....regular TV in 3d?, well maybe if FOX rehires Laurie Dhue! (Snicker, just kidding....kind of)

Seriously though, I do get a chance to attend the CES shows here, have for many years even before I moved here, and from what I have seen the quality of 3D is definitely improving every year, especially in the no glasses needed arena.

As for the market, from what I have observed it's not really appealing to the masses, Blue Ray and up scaling of DVD's kind of suffices for most, nice to have the choices to pick from no matter your preference...God Bless America!

Ron, Dave. Dave, Ron. I’m so confused... ;^)

It is interesting that your thoughts on 3D do sound a lot like the thoughts I had attributed to Dave, so this may not be the first time I’ve confused the names, just to damn the innocent. :-|

We’ve gone the DVD route rather than picking everything up on Blue-Ray. The upscaling seems to work quite good.

You mentioned that they are making some good strides in 3D. I agree. I may be wrong, but I think think 3D will be with us for a long time, and may become much more popular with better larger sets.

This from a guy that predicted Rap wouldn’t last long, because it was a simpleton’s invention from the get-go.
