Why Gingrich Will Do (Yes, he's imperfect. Who's not? But compare Gingrich to Obama)

Yes, he's imperfect. Who's not?

But compare Gingrich to Obama. G has a Ph.D. in history (something the leftist media always forgets to tell us) and has written 20 books, some of them good ones, all expressing a deep understanding of the unique American experiment and the U.S. Constitution.

Obama thinks the Constitution is some kind of white imperialist plot designed to keep the victims of the world down and oppressed. That's why he did those deep bows to medieval tyrants like President Hu (the terror-master of Tibet), the figurehead emperor of Japan, and the desert-king of Arabia, King Abdullah of the house of Saud. No American president in history -- ever -- has physically and symbolically bowed down to medieval tyrants. Never.

Thomas Jefferson sent the U.S. Marines to Tripoli to fight the Barbary pirates. Obama has tried desperately, over and over again, to make nice with horrific fascist regimes, notably the nuclearizing mullahs of Tehran, who are about to explode their first Ego Bomb.

It's not just Israel that's in their sights, but America and Europe. That's why they just had a mob of Basiji thugs trash the British embassy in Tehran. That's why, you may remember, the thugocracy over there makes all the schoolchildren chant "Death to Israel! Death to America!" Every single day for the last thirty years.

This is not a bunch of rowdy football fans at a game. It's not a game at all to the Shi'ite martyrdom regime. It's a deadly earnest war ideology, which is why they just tried to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States.

So here's Obama trying to play footsie with the Saudis; the Khomeinist regime; and soon, the Muslim Brotherhood bosses of Egypt, Syria, Gaza, Lebanon, and many another failed state in the ME.

This is the “we can’t do it” attitude. This is outright ridiculous. If Mexico (or any other country) starts opposing the policy, we can cancel their visas. They have to take them back. Besides, we can simply push them over the border. Mexico can do whatever they want to these illegals (give them money, deport them to Guatemala, execute them). I don’t care.

In anycase, new illegals will not come here, and many existing ones will go back, if we get serious. Newt is the only one who openly advocates for Amnesty.

I can’t understand why any freeper is pushing for Amnesty. Bush, McCain, Newt. Three amnesty freaks in a row.

Anyway, you are right. Only Newt has open plan (to surrender).

“Strong Christians”? We are not electing a spiritual leader. While a Christian president is a definite plus (as opposed to a Mormon (Romney) or a Muslim (Obama)), I am not going to disqualify a candidate because they were divorced a couple times. Especially one who professes a belief in Christ and has asked for His forgiveness. If Christ can forgive Newt, who am I to count it against him.

“There was only one who was perfect. Unfortunately, Reagan is not running.”

Reagan was great man and a great president. But he wasn’t perfect.

There was only one who was perfect, and a bunch of fools nailed HIM to a cross.

RE: There was only one who was perfect. Unfortunately, Reagan is not running.

The man admitted to a lot of mistakes as governor of California, including signing one of the most liberal abortion bills till that time.

Let’s not forget his amnesty of illegals in his second term.

That’s perfect?

But compare Gingrich to Obama

[sigh}

The GOP will never understand that "We suck less" should not be a campaign platform.

RE: But we’ve ended up with the same socialist policies anyway.

Newt a socialist?

Remember when he pushed Clinton to:

1) Sign Welfare Reform ( which Clinton vetoed before ).

2) Sign Capital gains tax cuts.

3) Balance the budget (we had a budget surplus in the 90’s, remember?).

If that’s socialism, I’ll take it over what we have now.

Newt is the best of those we now have running. I will support the Republican nominee but it appears at this time that it will be Newt. He leads because they have all stood side by side for comparison and Newt has stood out from and above the group. He is where he is because of his abilities.

This is why we are in the trouble we are in. By taking any old thing compared to what we have. That used to be a phrase to just kick around. Now people actually take it seriously instead of seriously finding and electing the best candidate.

with control of both legislative chambers, we would completely control the legislative agenda and; thus, no amnesty bills should ever reach the President’s desk. There would be no executive decision to overturn as the amnesty bill will quietly die in committee along with anti-second amendment bills, cap and trade bills, tax and spend/big government bills, entitlement bills, etc. The democratic party agenda will be completely derailed as it should be.

Newt’s going to debate Obama and beat him.

What happens when Obama refuses to debate and offers prerecorded speeches instead?

Who are you supporting?

I stopped formulating my response when I saw that you believed that Newt’s plan is amnesty. Amnesty would confer citizenship on the aliens.

“I stopped formulating my response when I saw that you believed that Newt’s plan is amnesty. Amnesty would confer citizenship on the aliens.”

Uh yes, it is only legalization of illegals /sarc

Please check your dictionary. Newt’s Amnesty plan specifically forgives the crimes committed by illegals. Once they are here on legal status they can change their status easier (pushed by courts, fake marriages, executive orders, future legalizations etc). Of course, then they can compete for jobs against those citizens who cling to their guns and religion.

It will invite more illegals since even GOP has surrendered.

Besides, no campaign time plan has ever been implemented as such. Newt has now conceded the legalization and the Grand Bargain bill will be something between La Raza’s position and Newt’s position (subject to future fine-tuning by courts and future presidents). He has joined every liberal cause in the last 10 years (Amnesty, Global Warming, cap-and-trade, Fairness Doctrine).
