Could Hillary Clinton be Obama's ace in the hole? (Too ironic for words)
CNN ^ | December 6, 2011 | LZ Granderson

Posted on 12/06/2011 12:56:32 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Here is what the election next year is about: the fence-sitters, the independent voters. At this point, there is not much President Barack Obama can say that will win over conservatives, and given the current GOP field, he doesn't have to worry too much about losing liberals. But what can he say to convince the middle to give him four more years?

Well, he could start by, to paraphrase Bonnie Raitt, giving them something to talk about.

Vice President Hillary Clinton?

--snip--

Would the move be characterized by critics as an obvious ploy to attract women?

Well, yeah. And to a degree they'll be right: After all, this is politics.

But the critics would have to tread lightly, because Clinton would likely be at least as accomplished, and probably more so, than any other person on either ballot. This would not be Obama pulling a John McCain, selecting someone who isn't qualified in hopes of injecting fresh blood into a struggling campaign. If Clinton had to take over the presidency, I think many people on both sides can agree that scenario would be much more desirable than one in which Sarah Palin was running the show. In fact, comparing Clinton's pedigree to Palin's or GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann's is like comparing an oak tree to a handful of seaweed.....

Secretary Clinton got where she is today using her husband's coattails, whereas Gov. Palin and Rep. Bachmann worked their way up on their own. But I'm supposed to believe just the opposite?

Hillary always looks beat up to me. I think she’s had it with politics. I could be wrong but I think she’s done.

I’ve been playing around with this scenario for a while.

The left knows that its policies are unpopular, so they nominate (and elect) a tabula rasa named Barack Obama who can appeal to blacks, guilty whites, and liberals. Once elected, he promises “change has come to America,” meaning that the conversion of the constitutional system to socialism will press onward in a powerful manner. The left knows that will be wildly unpopular and will probably ruin the president, but that’s not a problem as long as the policies remain intact.

Obama and the Democrats do what they do. The Republicans run strongly against Obama. At the last minute - perhaps even at the convention - Obama supposedly does the “brave” thing and says he’s not running. The convention goes to Hillary, who humbly accepts. Suddenly the GOP ammo is useless; the Democrats say they’re going to finally get a woman in the White House; and Hillary can run as a cautious moderate who will fix the excesses of the Obama regime - except, of course, she won’t do that, and what does happen will be windowdressing. Hillary wins, the left continues with their soft coup d’etat, and we have four more years of “change.”

And remember the scuttlebutt about Hillary during the 2008 primary - that she had no foreign affairs experience? Well, that problem’s been solved by Obama.

God help us.

Biden brings nothing to the ticket and due to some health issue will pull his name from the VP nomination and the Dems will turn to Hillary for an Obama-Clinton 2012 ticket.

I don’t think it would be good enough to help Obama overcome the 2012 GOP tide, but it may help a little.

Obama is not the brightest bulb in the socket, but he would have to be pretty desperate to install “Caligula” in the co-pilot seat. He knows that a bunch of Dems might just be willing to go along with impeachment if it resulted in a President Hillary.

I do not think she has, or, that even SHE thinks she has, the energy and stamina to continue. I think once her SOS job is over when a GOP is elected next year, she will be happy to take some time to relax, hope for grandchildren, and try to have a normal life.

She has publicly said she is not interested in running, and I don’t think that 0bama, even in desperation, would ask her to run for VP.

Can’t argue with that assessment.

Along with the media, who will manipulate the sheeple into believing BS positive economic numbers, despite what our lyin’ eyes show us, the left will get credit for that.

A little set theory: (Hillary) <= (Obama). When (Obama) runs, (Obama + Hillary) <= (Obama) 2008.

It's possible that if Dick Durbin ran with Obama they could get more votes than before in Chicago ~ I'd encourage Obama to select Durbin as his VP.

I'm sure somebody can get around that "residence" thing ~ heck fire, they got around that pesky "birth certificate" deal already.

Only after two more years of Obama as then she could then run twice, once in 16 and once in 20 and get a full 10 years in.....

Nice Yarn.. could happen...

OR.. (right) after her becoming Veep candidate; they could martyr Obama..
and Martin Luther King-ize him.. (maybe Biden too)

The funeral could take months to happen what with all the memorials to be constructed.
Take all the juice out of any republican candidate..

I've been saying this for six months. Republicans should NOT be running against Obama but against "Democrat policies," of which either Zero or the Hildabeast are exemplars. It is a stance also useful toward both broadening a conservative majority in the House and taking back the Senate. Further, we should be saying very clearly that in modern times there has never been a conservative government, even when Bush held a "Republican" majority. Government has grown steadily under the progressive center/left banner since Coolidge. It is time for REAL change.

She was hammered by her own big mouth when she lied about "dodging sniper fire" in Bosnia. As much as she played international jet-setter(while Slick soiled the WH carpet), I would think her foreign affairs experience would be a non-issue.

How about a simpler scenario? Pay off and otherwise convince Biden to step aside, health issues, whatever.

Hildabeast is a nautural replacement. They "make nice" tell all the world how wonderful the other is... Then after a while, in thru a side door is allowed to slip the second coming of James Earl Ray. Boom-shaka-laka. The Hildabeast becomes Queen.

I have been wrong before and doubtless will be again but I am going to go out on a short limb and say that Hillary has ZERO CHANCE of ever being president. Her first problem is the one that nobody seems to notice. Women are the majority of registered voters and the women of America have shown no intention whatsoever of putting a woman in the oval office. If American women wanted Hillary to be president she would be president already. Mere mortal men have no way to elect a president without the votes of the women who are in the majority. Show me one iota of evidence that Hillary can win the woman’s vote. As sorry as Slick Willie was and is he could probably be elected again if he were allowed to run but his “wife” has only slightly more chance than a snowball in an active volcano. No way is she going to be voted in by men and she won’t be voted in by women either. She could only win in a totally fraudulent election. If the dims have that kind of control they could more easily put Obama back in by fraud, he must have a base of at least forty percent who would vote for him if he went into a daycare center with an AK 47 and killed everyone present. The idiot percentage in this electorate is even higher than the true unemployment percentage.

If there is some flaw in my reasoning please tell me.

“I guess we’ll see. God help us.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I have posted several versions of that same rant and I keep thinking someone will tell me flat out that I am wrong but so far no one has. I hate to say it but it looks to me as if help from God is the only hope we have. I don’t see any reason to believe there exists a mortal who can straighten out the current mess without worldwide catastrophe, some were foolish enough to believe in 2008 that Obama was that mortal (or that deity in the case of some. Some apparently still believe that things will “get back to normal” sometime in the foreseeable future, I don’t.

Familiarity

There a lot of Hillary Clintons out there in one form or another, lurking right below the surface, and it may not necessarily have anything to do with politics.

Run a smart campaign and tap itno that, which no doubt she would, and voila....
