He was asked how he was able to comment on the new emails if he had never read them before.
He said that based on what Issa had asked, he formed an opinion. He was then asked if he reads what Issa and Grassley send to his office or if someone else reads those letters.
Holder smilingly asserted that he’s read personally read EVERYTHING Issa and Grassley have sent to his office.
The Senator then laughingly said that the emails in question were given to him by Issa and Grassley in a letter they sent him in July.
Holder said he didn’t read the attachments

Good for him! There are a few on the ball in this hearing. I am stunned by the lack of coordination with ALL the Repubs on this committee. They know how the Dems operate, and they should have been better prepared with a COORDINATED effort to use this hearing to maximum F & F benefit.

Update at 1:06pm EST: Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) questions the motives of those behind Fast and Furious (gun control). Reads emails from top officials that point to such a scenario. Uh, oh. Holder said he didn’t read these emails but said he has read everything sent to him from Grassley or Issa. Franks then pointed out that the emails were attached to letters sent to Holder from Issa and Grassley. Holder then said he didn’t read attachments.
