BLACKSBURG, Va. – DEVELOPING: A police officer was reportedly shot to death Thursday on Virginia Tech's campus. The university's Collegiate Times newspaper reported the fatality at about 1:30 p.m. A potential second victim has been reported at a campus parking lot, the university announced on its website. The suspect, according to the posting, is described as a white male wearing gray sweatpants and a gray hat with a neon green brim. He was believed to traveling on foot near McComas Hall, a campus gym.

Other reports are saying the gunman has surrendered to polilce.
On Fox News TV now, 2 people have been killed, one was a police officer
Prayers for the families of those killed.
Prayers for those injured.
I hope they get this nut soon.
People like this when they perceived a problem should first put the guns to their own heads and fire rather than to start taking other people out.
Didn’t the shooter know that VTech is a no guns campus?
Isn’t there an “Occupy” area at Virginia Tech? If only 1 Policeman was shot, could the shooter have come from that group? They are not big fans of the police. Just speculating....

I live very, close to VA Tech. The local news as early as 5 minutes ago was still asking for anyone who sees the shooter or has information about him to please call Blacksburg police.
The officer killed had only pulled a driver over for a minor traffic violation. The shooter fled and the 2nd deceased victim was found in a parking lot called The Cage. Local bloggers are assuming the shooter took someone else’s vehicle...so who knows where the killer is @ this time.
Also..just heard a live report on WFNR radio locally that they are bringing sniffer dogs out and using a “cherry picker” so officers have a better sight of the area. This is so terrible. Many I know were working at Va Tech during the massacre. I am so sad this is happening now :(
Amazing, the news is reporting it was a white male. Wow, usually if it is one of Holder’s people, one needs a divining rod to determine ethniticity.
A stunning crime! But, maybe the criminal used one of Eric Holder’s “Fast and Furious” guns! That would at least perhaps be some positive aspect to this tragedy.
I'm certain he knew. He would have gone somewhere else otherwise.
It is quite coincidental that Virgina Tech (high name recognition) has a cop killer shooting over a very minor traffic issue, a potential witness is also killed and the shooter has quite effectively vanished.
This occured just as the news is reporting Holder is getting his butt handed to him in the hearings for withholding subpoenaed emails that he (Eric) wrote and sent. He is being found, and is being told to his face he is lying and will be impeached. All on the record in front of the cameras.
Then, presto, "Cop Shot At Virgina Tech, Gunman On The Loose."

I’m not certain it was a shooting “over a very minor traffic issue”. I suspect we’ll discover there was a reason, such as an outstanding warrant, behind the shooting.
But here is what is interesting.
“Shortly after 12 p.m. today, a Virginia Tech Police officer stopped a vehicle on campus during a routine traffic stop in the Coliseum parking lot
Witnesses reported to police the shooter fled on foot heading toward the Cage, a parking lot near Duck Pond Drive.
The guy is in a parking lot, gets stopped, shoots the cop/security guard, takes off on foot (leaves his vehicle), heads to another parking lot?
Kills another person (witness?) at that parking lot and vanishes.
Either this guy is pretty good OR all he did was steal the second victim's car. If so, he has already ditched it. The tipoff will be the ID of the first car. If it was stolen, this whole thing just took a BAD turn. If it is the shooters car then there is no connection.
VT shooting is pretty big news and has blown Holder and F&F right off the page, just as it is occurring.
Just like OWS did when Holder was in the hot seat before.

I see that you think along the same lines I do. Some of these shootings are set up by anti-gun dimwits. It has always seemed strange to me that when the dems are pushing certain types of gun laws, say for instance mail order firearms, that the type of gun in question is used in a crime, usually a quite large and bizarre event, such as assassinating a President, or shooting school children.
After confirming that fast and furious was totally manufactured in order to further more anti-gun laws can anyone doubt other events have been manufactured in the past and will continue to be manufactured in the future for the purpose of depriving us of our rights?
