If I had my way I would outlaw health insurance and force doctors and hospitals to accept what people could afford to pay.

Force... your version of the free market at work?

The only difference between your brand of communism and obama's brands of communism is you think you are more fair than he is.

Can’t we do better than Newt Gingrich??? He wont please us conservatives any more than bush did!! Probably less!!

That's what the primary process is supposed to be about. We can either vote for a conservative candidate. Or we can vote for someone who is popular like Newt. I would have hoped that we had learned our lesson after the McCain fiasco four years ago. Unfortunately, the crowd that gave us McCain then has already settled on anointing McNewt as his successor even before the first primary vote has been cast.

As I see it at this point, the only conservative choices we have are Bachmann, Santorum, Cain, Paul, and Huntsman. I know I'll get flamed for including Huntsman in that group due to his ties to the Obama State Department, but his record as governor was decent.

As for me, I will be voting for Rick Santorum because of all the candidates, he most closely shares my views. I refuse to take the moderate approach and vote for whoever happens to be leading in the polls at that time.

Any of them is 1,000 times better than the current occupant.

Vote the primaries as you wish, but in the general election a vote for anyone except the GOP candidate is a vote for BO.

Newton Gingrich may have in mind with “health care” what Richard M. Nixon did with the “Great Society” in 1969: not just leave intact but vastly expand it.

Newt. Repeal Obamacare. That’s what the American people want. End of story. That is our number one requirement of a new President. If you’re not willing to do that, we’ll be looking to support someone else.

Sadly, thats' about all our little Republican primary voters know to do -- have been doing that essentially for sixty years now

If you want a conservative candidate to be the nominee, electablity needs to be considered from Iowa. Otherwise the party is going to end up with the worst of both worlds - a moderate like Newt that will also most likely lose to Obama.

Reality check: In locations where there is more competition (ie higher doctor:patient ratio, higher hospital beds:population ratio), consumer costs for medical care are *much* higher.

Where does Mr. Gingrich address medical liability reform?

Newt...I would love you to try some of my famous Chocolate Chip Brownies!

(I ran out of chocolate chips, so I substituted Dog Turd Chips...don’t worry, it’s ONLY 10%! )

I love ya, Man, but DON’T say this kind of thing...not even in jest!

We had the perfect candidate in Sarah Palin! Perhaps if she had been shown more support we would have a truly Conservative candidate!

The conservative candidates are essentially out of the game thanks to the media.

We are left with Newt and Romney.

lol, yeah, b/c Sarah Palin was certainly lacking in support, right? She didn’t want to run, so what? Hell, she probably didn’t want to take the paycut, and I wouldn’t blame her.

Shown more support?? She had plenty of support from the populace. The support she couldn’t get is from the wealthy power brokers who only support RINOs.

She had tons of support, but deserved even more! Outcome might have been different, is what I am saying

Thanks to conservatives in the case of Huntsman. I’m not willing to end it on him yet, though.
