Are Rudy’s resentments from ‘08 behind his trashing of Romney today? Ping to Today show list.

This helps Newt about as much as O’Donnell helped Romney. ;-)

I don’t think that anyone who ran against Mitt in 2008 likes him, and most probably can’t stand him.

So Rudy's remarks could reflect the triumph of personal animus over political ideology.

Of course, this is a New York Pol.

Don’t get all buttered-up folks. This is just politics. If you look closely, you’ll see Bill Bennett in the background. Bennett broke-off the handle trying to do a hatchet-job on Gingrich during the Hannity Show last night!

My favorite part this morning watching Rudy was him sitting on that set saying very forcefully that he is [paraphrasing] "Tired...so tired of the non-stop Newt bashing that is going on!"

Not surprised that there were crickets heard since they DO NOT STOP FOR A MINUTE bashing Newt.

I may have problems with Rudy, but I loved him looking at Joe and saying that about Newt.

Bill Bennett's small-minded and cutting words against Gingrich were both disappointing and repulsive.

Bennett has studied the philosophical foundations of our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. His knowledge of the history of liberty vs. tyranny is superior to most.

He knows that of the present slate of "top tier" Republican candidates, only Gingrich, in a debate with Obama, could expose, rebut and defeat the tyrannical and bankrupt "redistributionist" ideas of Obama.

If Bennett puts the future of liberty ahead of Establishment Loyalty, then he might put aside old feelings, find a way to hold Gingrich accountable for strict adherence to constitutional principles, and acknowledge, as did America's Founders, that human beings are flawed and must be be limited in their capacity to do harm by constitutional restraints.

These two men who possess great intellectual abilities, if they could put aside arrogance and pride, could help millions of youth and young adult voters discover the ideas of liberty and, thereby, recognize the ideas of tyranny and dependency on government's coercive power over their lives.
