One hundred thousand people wanted to fb "Like" Newt Gingrich onto the Virginia ballot
facebook page ^ | Dec 24, 2011 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 12/24/2011 7:49:29 PM PST by Jim Robinson

I just started a new facebook page as a place for grassroots conservatives to urge Virginia to allow the leading Republican contender for the presidency onto the Virginia ballot. Gingrich is the Republican leader nationwide and in Virginia! It's absolutely ludicrous, if not criminal, for Virginia to deny the conservative base and tea party favorite a spot on the ballot while they promote their elite ruling class RINO!

Do not allow Virginia to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of conservative grassroots voters who would mark their ballots for Newt Gingrich! Adding insult to injury, they don't even allow write-ins on their ballots!

It truly is a one man election (disregarding the Ron Paul nutcake). You can vote for anyone you wish in Virginia as long as his name is Mitt Romney.

We need to write or call the Republican Party of Virginia to register our outrage and if you are a facebook user, please visit and "Like" the "Newt Gingrich on Virginia Ballot" page.

Thank you all very much, and Merry Christmas!!

We can’t stop the inevitable because our voters are too uninformed and also too few in number.

I just sent Fox News my sentiments this morning at friends@foxnews.com. They wanted to know what we think about Newt not getting on the VA. ballot due to his disorganization. I hope they read what I sent....

I support this Jim, however if it doesn’t work, I reluctanly would choose Paul over Romney if I lived in VA!

Maybe you can ask your buddy Cuccinelli exactly why more than 2000 signatures on Newt's petitions were rejected, and who were the "volunteers" who did the verification.

Do you know that it was in fact 2,000 signatures rejected, as opposed to being just enough rejected in one district to push that district below the 400 mark?

If individual signatures have a 12% chance of being bad, that would be very unlikely to invalidate a petition with 12,000 signatures collected (and 10,000 required), but would have a much greater chance of invalidating a petition in which 25 districts each have 480 votes and need 400, even though the latter would have a higher percentage of "safety margin".

I don't want Perry to be toast. :(

He makes a hundred Newts. How did Newt gain the support of so many Conservatives? We had an untested Herman Cain who had not even been vetted for activities from months before his announcement who caught and held the support of Conservatives to the point of hysteria. Elvis was in the building. Now we have Newt. Newt? The same Newt? Or a new Newt? This Newt is allowed to change his mind and change his wife and change his religion and change his policy arguments and change his changes....but any candidate who does half of that is called flip-flopping for political expedience. What is going on? I'll vote for Newt against Obama but I'm going to fight like the devil to see that Perry gets the chance he's earned by being one of us all along....not just lately.

We’ve had the rule for a long time, and this is the first time a serious candidate has failed to complete the process.

All the statewide candidates have to meet this rule as well. And Ron Paul did it — so don’t give me that ‘establishment’ crap. Paul has dedicated supporters — don’t Gingrich and Perry?

I have to agree. This unseemly whining because ones preferred candidate could not follow the same rules that everyone else had to follow, makes the failure of those who will not be on the ballot even worse.

You are correct, where were all the dedicated Gingrich supporters? It does not portend well for the general election if he could not even get 15,000 to sign there name out of an electorate of 5,000,000.

The candidates, instead of criticizing the rules in VA, need to man up and move on and work so as not to screw up like this in other states.

Allright !

And what are doing the “whites”?
Ashamed, brain dead, scared , cowards ?
Then give up !

And the tea parties have disapeared suddenly ?
The movement is needed more than ever....Maybe one could call S.Palin or someone because voices are needed
