The US is uniquely tied to Israel, more so than any other country. These ties are philosophical, religious, historical and demographic. They will not be easily eroded.
Tom Friedman is to factual journalism and true foreign policy scholarship what Lady Gaga is to classical music. He’s a pop culture guy, with as much credibility as the guy trying to sell kitchen knives on TV.
This, by the way, is how you eventually defeat the left. Characterize them accurately for what they are, which is to say, point out how little they know. Those on the left tend to take themselves very seriously. That is one of their greatest weaknesses.

Friedman is a German based name, however most often Jewish German names ending with “man” usually do so with one “n”, while non-Jewish German names ending in “man” usually do so with two nn’s or “mann”. I believe Mr. Friedman is Jewish as the spelling of his name also implies. Usually is the operative word.

This is the first time I think anyone has seriously laid a glove on Tom Friedman. He has always been this optimistic, cheerful fellow bubbling with new (bad) ideas -- now he's finally been cornered and called on a hard-Left attempt to stab Israel in the back, and to buddy up to nasty Lefties whose backstabbing is their meat and drink.
