Kwanzaa creator to visit area, speak about seven principles (BARF!)

Local observances of Kwanzaa will get a special boast this year by the return of Maulana Karenga, the man who created the holiday 45 years ago.

A reverent and joyous celebration of family, community and culture based on values derived from African heritage, Kwanzaa is observed from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1 by an estimated 20 million to 30 million people worldwide. Unlike Hannukah and Christmas, which precede it, Kwanzaa is not a religious holiday.

"Certainly, Kwanzaa has both a particular and universal message," Karenga says. "It first speaks directly to African people, offering the best views and values from the culture and community from which it comes. But it also speaks to others, for it reflects the best of what it means to be both African and human in the fullest sense. Others, seeing and sensing this, are often appreciative of its message and meaning."

Karenga will speak on "Kwanza and the Seven Principles: Sustaining and Sharing the World" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hill House Association in the Hill District. The daylong event is co-sponsored by Kente Arts Alliance, Ujamaa Collective and Hill House Association.

Hill House activities will begin with arts and crafts for children at 3 p.m. Family activities start at 5 p.m. and include performances by Temujin the Storyteller, poet LaKeisha Wolf, Roger Humphries and the Rh Factor band, the Adorations Gospel Group and the Balafon West African Dance Ensemble. A feast and gift-giving are part of the event.

Other celebrations of Kwanzaa will combine cultural activities and reflection on Kwanzaa's meaning and will include refreshments and gift-giving. The Young Men and Women's African Heritage Association on the North Side will show the various ways Kwanzaa is observed, featuring music, dancing and drumming.

Seven principles?

What?

B1tches, Hoes, Bling, Colt 45, Hennessy, Free Sh!t, and ‘Gimme Mah Munny!’.

Those seven principles?

Sorry, sorry, but I had to. The same libtards that buy into that culture are the one’s that’ll pull Kwanzaa out of their @ss and demand you ‘respect’ it.

What is Festivus?

SO we need a made-up phoney holiday to present Africans as Humans to the rest of humanity?

Do they keep this Karanga guy in a padded cell at night?

There are only TWO (2) genuine Holidays this time of Year - Christmas and Chanukka. Anything else is just some “gimmick” to advance a poitical agenda.

Nothing else needs be said.

“In May of 1971 Karenga stood trial for torturing two dissident members of his cult. Both Deborah Jones and Gail Davis described how Karenga had demanded that they strip naked. The naked women were then whipped with electrical cords and beaten with a karate baton. Detergent and a gushing hose were forced into their mouths. Ms Jones had one of her toes clamped in a vise. Karenga’s goon squad forced a hot electrical soldering iron in to Ms Davis’ mouth as a form of revolutionary discipline. The torturefest went on for two long days. Karenga was convicted and served more than three years in a California State prison. “

The 7 principles are definately Marxist! Read the article & note the “collectivist economics”.

I’m pretty sure the majority of kwanza celebrants are white liberal elementary school teachers.

What is Festivus?

A fictional holiday from Seinfeld.

FRANK: Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reach for the last one they had - but so did another man. As I rained blows opon him, I realized there had to be another way!

KRAMER: What happened to the doll?

FRANK: It was destroyed. But out of that, a new holiday was born. "A Festivus for the rest of us!"

I found this part interesting...

The Liberal Memory Hole

Using the same technique that Joseph Stalin employed to refashion history, the keepers of America’s newspaper archives have rehabilitated the depraved inventor of Kwanzaa. Unpleasant references to his past crimes have been quietly deleted from hundreds of newspaper data bases. All references to torture sessions, blazing campus gun battles, Marxist ideology and the brutal beatings of Karenga’s campus political competitors have been erased by sympathetic leftists. The truth would have been lost forever were it not for the diligent research of Paul Mulshine of the Newark Star Ledger. It took Mulshine two days to ferret out the truth from the dusty microfilm archive of the Los Angles Times. The computer data bases had been scrubbed of all references to Karenga’s violent past. The women he tortured have dropped out of sight. The court records of Karenga’s trial are unobtainable. Only a handful of newspaper accounts of what really happened are still available to us. What is clear is that America’s “journalists” cannot be trusted to tell us the truth for it is they who have toiled to sanitize the history of Kwanzaa’s depraved inventor.

It's like the Rocky Horror Picture Show of holidays. Don't forget to bring your detergent and hose along with the soldering iron, vise and electrical cord. You can't celebrate Kwanzaa without them.
