I'm not sure if this has been posted on Free Republic. I am posting in case it hasn't been.
Here are the top 20 contributors to Mitt Romney's campaign:
Goldman Sachs $367,200
Credit Suisse Group $203,750
Morgan Stanley $199,800
HIG Capital $186,500
Barclays $157,750
Kirkland & Ellis $132,100
Bank of America $126,500
PriceWaterhouseCoopers $118,250
EMC Corp $117,300
JPMorgan Chase & Co $112,250
The Villages $97,500
Vivint Inc $80,750
Marriott International $79,837
Sullivan & Cromwell $79,250
Bain Capital $74,500
UBS AG $73,750
Wells Fargo $61,500
Blackstone Group $59,800
Citigroup Inc $57,050
Bain & Co $52,500
What does this tell you? Well, it tells me that among his many other flaws, Mitt Romney is bought and paid for by the financial elite. Does anyone seriously believe that he'll make the kind of hard decisions necessary to get this nation back on sound financial footing when he's in deep with all these "too big to fail" types?
This needs to be spread far and wide.

If you are on Facebook, spread this around to your family and friends. Once people find out who is backing Romney, any enthusiasm they have for him usually goes out the window.

I didn't see Fannie or Freddie on the list. Sound the alarm , a presidential candidate gets money from big donors. Oh the shame.

$50,124
According to Open Secrets. Apparently the folks at G-S like Romney even better than Obama. Scary.

Tip: Don`t ask `what does this tell you?` and then tell us what this told YOU. We can decide for ourselves what this tells us, thanks.
What your post tells me is my declining interest in FR is not a fluke. The Occupy bullsh*t has pervaded. No one--no true capitalist--is for `crony capitalism` or other illegal or underhanded financial shennanigans. Come clean--you`re for McCain-Feingold, public funding of elections, Obamacare and `spreading the wealth`, right?
A candidate from what I used to think was the pro-business party took donations from businesses. Wow. I`ve seen the light.

Nice try. If you look at the other candidates, they have a nice mixture of big donations from across many industries. THAT is the way it should be.
In Romney's case, it couldn't be more obvious who his biggest backers are--the exact people who are looting this country via the financial sector.
And for the record, G-S had John Corzine for a CEO not too long ago. If you don't recognize them as part of the problem, there's nothing else for me to say.

Thanks for the review, Antonius. I didn’t know this. Excellent, sir. You are on my Christmas list next year for a card.

Let's have it--who is your candidate who is the model of a 'nice mixture' this time around?
In Romney's case, it couldn't be more obvious who his biggest backers are--the exact people who are looting this country via the financial sector.
Noticed you didn't deny my suspecting you of being an OWS/Obama fan.
Hmmm, let's look at that link you provided, and lookee what we have right on top:
This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2012 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families.
You're one of those people who thinks it's eeeeeevil for INDIVIDUAL AMERICANS to contribute to campaigns if they're in the financial industry, aren't you?

How about donations from ebay? Spinal Imaging Inc? From homemakers?
Move along, your tent must be leaking. :) And for the record, G-S had John Corzine for a CEO not too long ago. If you don't recognize them as part of the problem, there's nothing else for me to say.

This bank is a big part of the problem. This is where most of the Democrats worked. This is not just rich people stupid.

LOL. In my almost 14 years on FR, I have never been accused of either of those things. Well done for being the first!
If you don't know what's wrong with Goldman-Sachs (John Corslime, former CEO) donating nearly $400K to Flip Romney, I don't know what to tell you. And yes, I do realize that the money didn't come directly from the companies on the list, but from their employees. That's even more evidence that support for Romney among those affiliated with the "too big to fail" banks is extremely strong.
Face it. Romney is one of them. If another financial crisis hits with Romney in office, he'll bail them out and leave us holding the bag just like previous administrations have. He's not part of the solution.
