Joe Klein waited till the very end of 2011, but has managed to make a strong bid for Most Asinine Assertion of the Year.
Appearing on Morning Joe today, Klein claimed that Iran's interest in getting nukes would "just be to deter Israel" and Pakistan. Certainly when it comes to Israel, this has to be among the most hideous instances of blaming the victim in recent memory.

And what exactly would Mr. Klein say if Iran did indeed nuke Israel? Would he even admit that he was wrong (as if that would make any difference)? No. No doubt, he would find a backhanded way of implying that the Israelis deserved it. This guy is a traitor to his own people; in short, he’s scum.

I caught about a minute of him “analyzing” the pub candidates and I just couldn’t listen to his jibberish double speak.
Yea - 74 million Iranians lay awake at night trembling in fear of 6 million Israeli Jews.
Klein is just another aging Clinton Butt Boy, attacking Israel whenever the opportunity arises.

Couple questions for Joe Klein:
1. How long has Israel been in possession of nuclear weapons?
2. When has Israel overtly threatened the use of these Nukes? Be careful. Israel has never officially acknowledged that they even have Nukes.
Given 1 & 2 please explain how Iran feels “threatened”?
