"Perry is the only candidate we have that would lose in a debate to Obama." Perry only in it now to give Romney the nomination by splitting the anti-Romney vote.

Well, your admiration and misgivings about Newt reflect my own. He’s damaged goods, but he and Santorum are what’s left in the kitbag.

I can’t totally disagree with that. If something happens to Santorum, I’m going to be in a world of hurt.

(Santorum..., are you giving it some thought? I knew you would.)

Yet Romney did what his conservative adversaries did not: he and his supporters prepared, raised money, put together an effective campaign organization, and have executed well so far. Notably, Americas Revolutionary War generation prevailed because they also took a practical and determined approach to defeating the British.
You left off that they have run the most disgustingly dirty primary campaign in recent memory. And that they will kow-tow to Obama if they manage to win the nomination (God forbid!) That's the way "Massachusetts moderates" work. They are all about defeating conservatives and bringing liberalism into the Republican party.
I have not one kind thing to say about Romney or his slime machine. They can all go straight to hell.

Again, my comments are solely about the resources, depth, and sophistication of Romney’s campaign, including the negative attacks on Romney’s opponents. Posturing against RINOs and fulminating against negative campaign tactics does not reach the substance of my comments.

LOL. You praised all that, and yet despite his advantages, Romney still can't crack 25% in most polls after spending over $100 million and running almost continuously since 2007.
The most sophisticated and well-resourced campaign in the world can't overcome voter suspicion/apathy for your candidate. I for one can't wait to watch Romney's concession speech.

Yet Romney’s campaign is lush with cash and is proficient in the nuts and bolts of campaigning — like getting enough signatures to appear on the Virginia GOP primary ballot. Romney has also avoided the lapses that sank or damaged other GOP candidates.

Yet Romneys campaign is lush with cash
Of course. The man is hyper-wealthy and he's spent $100 million of his own money since 2007 to buy the presidency.
And is proficient in the nuts and bolts of campaigning like getting enough signatures to appear on the Virginia GOP primary ballot.
When you've been doing nothing but running for president for 5 straight years, I would assume you'd be good at "nuts and bolts."
Romney has also avoided the lapses that sank or damaged other GOP candidates.
Now that is the REAL laugher. He has less avoided than been given a pass by the media, including the so-called conservative media. Romney has skeletons. The MSM is just waiting until they can do maximum damage to him. If republican primary voters are smart enough to see through this phony, they'll never get the chance.
