The Year We Lost Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia and Most of the Middle East

About the only people having a Happy New Year in the Muslim world aren't the Christians who are huddling and waiting out the storm, but the Islamists who use a different calendar but are having the best time of their lives since the last Caliphate.

The news that the Obama Administration has brought in genocidal Muslim Brotherhood honcho Yusuf Al-Qaradawi to discuss terms of surrender for the transfer of Afghanistan to the Taliban caps a year in which the Brotherhood and the Salafists are looking up carve up Egypt, the Islamists won Tunisia's elections, Turkey's Islamist AKP Party purged the last bastions of the secular opposition and Libya's future as an Islamist state was secured by American, British and French jets and special forces.

Time Magazine declared that 2011 was the Year of the Protester, they might have more honestly called it the Year of the Islamist. In 2010, the Taliban were still hiding in caves. In 2012 they are set to be in power from Tunisia to Afghanistan and from Egypt to Yemen. They won't go by that name, of course. Most of them will have elaborate names with the words "Justice" or "Community" in them, but they will for the most part be minor variations on the Muslim Brotherhood theme.

2011 will indeed be remembered, but not because of any Arab Spring or OWS nonsense. It will be a pivotal year in the rise of the next Caliphate. A rise disguised by angry protesters waving cell phones and flags. And clueless media coverage that treated Tahrir Square as the new fall of the Berlin Wall.

This was the year that Obama helped topple several regimes that served as the obstacles to Islamist takeovers.

Sun, “Obama Administration has brought in genocidal Muslim Brotherhood honcho Yusuf Al-Qaradaw”

Yep, sure is fun, doom and gloom.

Flash, the good folks living and working in Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia and Most of the Middle East could care less bout our crappy potus or the senile brotherhood.

Chicken Little has a new star> honcho Yusuf Al-Qaradawi.

R.

CFP is the greatest.

Rather than a political triumph for Obama, I see a soft spot that even the Republican Party will be able to hit while dead drunk and with one eye tied behind its back — which, to be honest, is the way it usually campaigns.

Ain't that the truth!

Why would anyone vote for someone named Hussein?

Carter lost Iran.

Obaba has exceeded Carter’s disasters significantly.

Carter was (and still is) an idiot.

Obaba is doing to the USA basically what Lenin did to pre-Communist Russia.

Why vote for H.Obama?

Well, Blacks vote for him because he is black (showing Blacks are basically the most racist group in the USA).

Mexicans vote for him for the handouts. As do many whites and other races. Jews vote for him because they are smart in business but political dumbells.

Rich Liberals vote for him out of their guilt (and inability to get a passing grade in critical thinking).

Folks who are mentally awake and independent thought capable do not vote for Obama as they see his associates and note how what he says is opposite of what he does.

During Cold War, third world liberation movements overthrew most of the post colonial monarchies installed by Europe as they withdrew. Today these secular socialist authoritarian governments who dabbled with the Soviet Union against US and then changed sides once the USSR fell are swept away by another force. Revolt caused by high food prices as the US devalued its dollar (all commodities are brought with dollars) as the Fed Reserve attempt to inflate our way out of debt. The toppled governments left a power vaccuum which the Islamic Parties are more then willing to fill. Here is the major challenge for the Muslim Brotherhood and etc, unlike Iran and Saudi Arabia who can use money to buy opposition and fend off cultural modernity, how is the Muslim Brotherhood going to fed their large and poor population using 14th Century social and economical model? This is a revolution that the US can only be an observer and have very little control. In fact the worst thing we can do is stick our nose into it, causing more anger and ire against us. We should keep our policy very simple, we don’t bother you, you don’t bother us. Anything else is asking for more trouble.

“Blacks vote for him because he is black...”

Well, I wish that were true, but face it, blacks vote for him because he’s a DEMOCRAT.

Same with the Jews. Although any Jew who’d vote for this guy, round 2, should be sent to Bellevue, imho.

Oddly, right here in the eye of the storm, I’m not worried.

Oddly, right here in the eye of the storm, I’m not worried.

While not pleased with it all, I'm not worried either. Even my weak and imperfect faith allow me to know that it's not about freedom from the storm, it's about being at peace in the midst of the storm.

Alas, worried or not, the storm is building and it will sweep across the land and around the world with a vengeance.
