I was talking to my grandmother about this the other day and she reminded me of my great grandmother’s story about her parents doing the same. Seems that it was once quite common especially in the days when most children were born in the home.
My great grandmothers sister died when she was 3 years old and her parents brought her all the way home from Ann Arbor to northern Michigan.
Hiyas.
My sainted mother told many a story of folks wanting to actually dig up and see the dead person. Apparently, one woman was not dead, woke up six feet under, and had attempted to claw her way out of the casket.
My mother and someone else took care of the body of my paternal grandmother. They put her body in the bathtub, cut someplace to let the blood flow, and then washed her up and decked her out for the wake.
I watched (again) yesterday Third Reich: The Rise and Today a Star Trek TNG episode about a Human Colony that practices Eugenics and some of them wanting to leave, but that would "Destroy" the Colony, and to me it seems that the Left believes that EVERYTHING is a means to an end, Children, Happiness, Freedom, if they could some how control it, than the world could be better.
And Colmes proves my point, NO sympathy for Rick Santorum's Child, just another skull that the progressives want to plant their flag in, it sickens me!
