I would shoot someone who pointed that at me. Especially if I was LE and I had ordered him to put it down.
This may be a “suicide by cop” situation. It happens. Easiest way to die is brandish a gun at LE and refuse to put it down when ordered.
They seem to be making a big deal about not releasing what the boy said to them before he was shot.
It would go to suicide by cop.
