And remember, these are first time applications anyway, which means someone must first find another job and be laid off before they can reapply.

This might work on a small munber of people; the majority of people KNOW the employment situation is grim, even DIRE, and will vote accordingly. Only an employed introvert in a bubble could believe this; otherwise, who here doesn’t know MULTIPLE people out of work, or under-employed? On the one hand they tell us things are getting better, then here in NJ they describe corporate and municipal layoffs in the thousands...they’re fooling nobody (and November will prove it, as the 2009 & 2010 elections did).
Obama will be lucky to leave the countyr alive, much less live here and write some smaltzy book and live in a mansion. There are “Obamavilles” out there and many more are living in them.
Even if we are below the normal 375,000, it will still take time to reduce back to what had been considered good levels. Here is another take on the unemployment situation.

I must confess I’m shocked he is even the candidate; many Dem politicians watched their careers dashed to pieces since he took office, and I’m surprised they take it so quietly. There have been a few defections, a few public disagreements, but by & large the whole team is on board - “the Fuerher must know what he is doing”.
So with unemployment not a worry anymore, maybe the media will go back to their obsessive reporting on the rise in gas prices /s
Betcha next month goes down to 8.3 per cent after the books are cooked again! Cook ‘em until the magic 8.0 per cent the One promised arrives.
If the nobama administration said it was sunny outside, I’d have to look...and even then I’d wonder if they something with mirrors or lights.
The Dems are a bunch of lowlifes, but they are always, always fiercely tribal. That is why they are so intimdating when it comes to being an opponent.
So what’s the #’s if you include all the 99’ers who CAN’T file for benefits?
