Most Texans supported Giuliani during the Primary.
This is an interesting article about where Texas' campaign money and support was going in '08. Things just aren't back and white. Texas donors on fence for 2008 election

It's completely irrelevant and vacuous. It's akin to saying Howard Hughes was clever when he flew the H-1, smart when he flew the XF-11, but wasn't brilliant until he took the controls of the H-4.
More to the point, you'd think someone like Perry, supposedly so adept at multi-tasking, could remember his own stances on policy when discussing them.
JFK Jr's "oops" ended his life. Perry's "oops" was equally fatal. Politically.
Using the cereal analogy, he's sugar-coated empty calories with no prize inside. Proof of purchase not necessary.

That's the example I'm talking about. Perry captained multi-million dollar planes and cargoes, with professional crews and is treated like an idiot because he's a conservative.
My daughter has flown larger and more complex aircraft than Perry. She did extremely well at the Air Force Academy, much better than Perry did at A&M in Animal Sciences or Husbandry or whatever. I'll have to tell her that when she retires, she should think about running for Governor of Texas, since apparently flying is an important criteria to folks like you.
Look, Perry is treated like an idiot not because he's a conservative, but because of his gaffes.
You trying to say that Perry is treated like an idiot because he's a conservative is just as bad as when Anita Perry complained that Republicans and Democrats attacked him because he was a Christian.
Classic case of misdirection. He's treated like an idiot because of his gaffes.

Most Texans supported Giuliani during the Primary.
Most FReepers who openly supported Giuliani were banned back in 2007.
The fact that you two are still here tells me that you didn't agree with Perry's support of Giuliani, otherwise you would have been banned in one of the Giuliani purges.

Classic case of misdirection. He's treated like an idiot because of his gaffes. ALL strong Republicans are called stupid idiots. Everything they do is watched for the slightest "oops" then blown out of proportion and repeated adnauseum. The Left always does this. I really find it offensive that people on our side do it too.

Let the fact that I'm still here and was here before you showed up tell you nothing other than that. LOL!

With Bachmann out, conservatives will hopefully give Perry another look. If they want someone to fight for their Second Amendment rights they will. Obama & company are coming for the guns next. They saved that for the nothing-to-lose second term.

No, I would never vote for either one of those socialists. I'm just pointing out that Perry's gaffes are what shaped his image. Whether you like it or not, his "oops" moment didn't look too Presidential.
