Romney Surrogate: Electability Should Trump 'Beliefs and Principles'
Fox News online ^ | Published January 07, 20 | FoxNews.com

A New Hampshire surrogate for Mitt Romney said at a local political event that it's evident he will be the Republican presidential nominee and suggested that "beliefs and principles" should not be the deciding factor for voters. State Sen. Gary Lambert said the most important thing is to nominate somebody who can defeat President Obama. "I don't get it. This is not about picking a favorite, it's not about picking someone you like," Lambert said. "It's not about picking someone even with your own beliefs and principles. This is about picking a person who can beat Barack Obama, period."

Can’t agree because I would not vote for Ron Paul. However, having a republican president does carry huge benefits. Judges, US attorneys, etc.

What’s new about this?
For the GOP it’s always been about Party over Principal.

Don't waste my time telling me how much of a louse 0bama is ...

I can preach that sermon better than you can.

Instead, use our time wisely, by telling me how good your guy is.

If the best you can say is "he's not 0bama", I'm not going to vote for him.

So shallow.

This sort of thinking is why I disavow the GOP. I'm a Conservative. I vote for Conservatives. If there is no Conservative running, I don't vote. Romney's people can suck it.

Why bother. Let’s just go to a one socialist party system so we can all back a winner. If we have to choose between two big government candidates election after election, we may as well stay home.

Isn't that how we got "Mahvahwick McCain!!!" during the last election? No thanks!

Besides, limp wristed appeasing socialist RINOs are not electable. I won't believe the GOP wants to win unless they back a conservative.

“having a republican president does carry huge benefits. Judges, US attorneys, etc.”

Oh really? If that Republican president has no principles, what makes you think that he will appoint the “right” judges and US attorneys? A liberal one who “works across the aisle” might appoint 1 conservative and 1 liberal judge...or he might not think that’s such an important thing, and nominate an unknown like Suter, the equivalent of throwing the dice. In a 4-3 court, with many Constitutional rights on the chopping block, that’s no longer good enough.

They want us to accept check-boxes labeled:
“whatever massa ‘D’ say” and “whatever massa ‘R’ say”

(roughly translated to “go left like my backside is on fire” or “go left so I don’t realize you’re screwing me” respectively)

The elites love their control.

Willard Romney has no core beliefs (except for that cult in SLC) or principles OR conservative accomplishments.

Perry does! Santorum does! My man, Newt does!

Newt will win because of his Reagan-like conservative accomplishments and Reagan-like communication skills.

(Rove KNOWS Willard has none hence the $$$$$$$ smoke screens and daily Willard lovefest on Fox to oudo even MSNBC & CNN’s desire for Romney as the lay down nominee for Obama.)

Speaker Gingrich led Republicans....the results:

* House Conservative Republicans Back After 40 Years In the Wilderness

* Voting On Each of the Contract With America’s Conservative Principles

* Four Consecutive Balanced Budgets (Remember what those looked like, folks?)

* Successful Massive Welfare Reform

* 11 Million New Jobs

* Unemployment Down To 4%

If you don't care about beliefs and principles, why not just vote for Obama?!

What a propaganda machine.

Geez. With this thinking, I guess this dope would be happy with Hitlery. She could beat Obummer too. If this is the best argument the Mittens people can give to vote for him, he is doomed.
