I tried magnum loads (150 grns powder) and the pressures caused a few small burn channels to open up after a few rounds. That raised hell with the accuracy. When I started, I was grouping sub-MOA @ 100.

We finally got to the range last weekend with the wife’s new LC9.
It was her first time firing an auto-loader. She did great!
(I’ll give her credit too because she’s a southpaw and she figured out how to work with the right handed controls.)
Only problem we had were light strikes on Aguila ammo (no problems with three other brands of ammo.)
Aguila has a reputation for having hard primers. I’ve run into this in the past with one of my revolvers. I decided to finish off the box in my KelTec P11. The KelTec would fire it but it had a failure to feed after every shot. I think they were loaded just a little bit long because normally my P11 will eat anything (similar to the CZ).
I ain’t buying anymore Aguila ammo. I don’t care what a good deal it is.

I was out shooting the other day. 50 degrees! Hit 43 today. I haven’t seen anything interesting yet (Canada honkers don’t count). Bad year for ice fishing so far. “Should I grab the ice auger or the boat?”

Hmmm...
I used PMC in mine worked like a hose.
I have had trouble with aguila, but not due to primers.
It was 68 gr subsonic .22 and the issue was a feed issue.
I don’t blame the ammo, it just wasn’t meant for use on semi autos

I don’t know why it doesn’t seem to work as well as the SSAR-15 in videos.
Theoretically it should work just as well.
I think it’s the user in the videos.
I will get a report from actual users.

Oh, the football bat won't kill a tree rat unless you're in close. For longer shots, use the pellet adapter. It's actually pretty accurate for a smooth bore w/ shotgun sights. I nailed a rabbit in the head @ 27 yds.

OK.
I was going to go squirrel hunting for the first time a few weeks back, but my back has been fouled up for 1.5 months.
I bet they are pretty good in a pot pie.
I know they are good on a grill.

Yep, PMC ran perfect through hers, too.
This is three different guns now that have had problems with Aguila. Two of them failure-to-fire (.38 SPL and 9mm), and one that fails to feed the stuff.
I most definitely will blame this ammo now. Lot’s of other mfrs ammo run through them just fine and I keep my guns clean and in good condition. Won’t bother with it anymore.

No, they’re proprietary. The gun comes with an adapter (chamber insert) that lets you shoot pellets. It does pretty well for a smooth bore.

I imagine the rifling would prevent them from being inserted into the bore.
Even if they fit, you wouldn’t want to use them in a rifled bore.
The Shot column would spin out fast and wide.

Having seen the size of #7.5 shot I cant imagine that the #9 would do much good past about 10 yards or so.
I will stick to my trusty Beeman and my old Crosmann 766 for tree rat and gutter eagle control:-)
I have gotten tree rats at about 100’ with the Beeman and .22HP pellets

Somebody dumped a Suburban in the river over Christmas at the range, and now some knuckleheads have been shooting upstream toward the bridge, which is being worked on.
Workers complained that rounds where whizzing by them to the DPD.
DPD says if it happens again they will shut down the range until the bridge repairs are done.
GRRR...
I aint mad at the cops, I’m mad at the idiots.

Aguila Supermax works great in my semi autos (Ruger 10/22, Ruger Mark I, etc)...the subsonic may not have enough punch for your semis...
I like it so much that I mostly use it...
