Four South Georgia men plead guilty in Albany Federal Court to stealing close to $400,000 from the Federal Government through an IRS tax refund scheme. Federal prosecutors say inmates in a Georgia prison helped run the thefts.

The IRS told Congress last year that Georgia ranked second nationwide in inmates filing fraudulent tax returns, and these cases show the Feds are cracking down on the schemes.

Federal prosecutors say in 2006 the three Sumter County men and one from Loganville helped prison inmates fill out phony W-2 tax forms in the library of the prison, and submit more than 150 phony tax returns seeking refunds.

James Wiley the Third, Marvin Jones Junior, and Towan White, all from Sumter County Thursday plead guilty to one count of Conspiracy to defraud the federal government with respect to claims.

" Federal prosecutors say inmates in a Georgia prison helped run the thefts."

They weren't going to be doing it in the next couple months, as they were gonna be too busy muli-voting (D) starting in October....

The Dem voter-base is ALWAYS involved in some corrupt activity, or Fraud.

This is rich....

The IRS passes out money to crooks freely but then if you owe $1.50 they come after you....

Side Story -----> A close friend had her identity stolen a few years ago. It took her about 24 months to track down who it was through an investigator for a furniture store the perp used her identity to rip-off. Come to find out the investigator tracked the perp down, called my friend and told her the perp worked for the IRS! Incredibly...a few months later... my friend heard the perp went to jail but then when she called the IRS for grins and giggles to talk to said perp she was connected with her!
