PRINCETON, NJ -- Mitt Romney is the now the only candidate that a majority of conservative and moderate/liberal Republicans nationwide see as an "acceptable" GOP nominee for president. Conservative Republicans are more likely to say Romney would be an acceptable nominee than either Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum.

25% Conservative
35% Mod/Liberal
If Romney gets the nomination, I’ll sit this one out. And yes, I’m quite aware that it may give us four more years of Obama*.
*I still do not believe Obama will finish his first term.
Sometimes I think America does not understand us very well. Ask charlie gibson about how we ran his ass off the coast when he tried his anti Bush crap in Biloxi... post Katrina... he got in his car and left the state pronto.

"Dang it"
The Democrats have ObamaCare, the Republicans will have RomneyCare. This is how the media will make Obama palatable to the voters. Furthermore, I could not believe how poorly Romney performed in the New Hampshire debate.
If Romney wins the Republican nomination Primary election, he will lose the general election to Obama.
Pure BS. As is the notion that these little northern states should have anything to do with picking the Republucan nominee. Iowa? Really? Lol! New Hampshire? Double lol!
We are witnessing a kabuki theatre run by the MSM. What a farce. Too many people simply don’t stop and think what a joke all this is. The Republican Party is run by a bunch of liberals who have no desire to do good for the nation. If they did care about the country they would trash the current system and construct a sensible way to choose a nominee.
But who do the pro-lifers choose ???
The solution to our current problems is not political. We are beyond that.
I’ve said that either Obama is a piker, in which case he will go down hard, or he is the antichrist, in which case it will take God to sort it out.
If he goes down and is replaced by Romney, I think Romney fits the bill of the latter even more.
IOW, I LITERALLY consider Obama the less of the two evils.
And to be clear, I consider Obama to be the worst president in our nation’s history.
59% will hold their nose and pull the lever and the others may not. Great job GOP establishment for pushing another RINO on us while undermining conservatives and allowing a Soros puppet libertarian (a crazy one at that) to screw up the process. And what does the nation get if Romney wins the POTUS? A liberal. No thanks.
It is third party Tea Party time. The GOP left didn't get the message in 2010, maybe they need another lesson.
For me, Romney is a vote of last resort only.
And, unless the conservatives, Santorum, Perry and Newt quickly coalese and boil down to a single conservative, so they can garner all of the conservative vote behind one candidate, we will be faced with Romney winning the nomination.
He takes a part of the conservatives, but a majority of the moderates and independents.
We simply have to see a single good conservative going up against him, then that person will ride that wave to the nomination.
But it better happen soon, no later, IMHO, then right after SC. Otherwise, if Romney ends up winning Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina (because of the split vote for conservatives) and then Florida for the same reasons...the momentum will be hard to stop.
So, Santorum, Perry, and Gingrich, get together after NH...or no later than after SC and make the hard decisions for the sake of the country. Which ever of you three has garnered the most vote and delegates at that point should be endorsed by the other two who then drop out and throw their support behind that person.
Othewrwise it will be Romney against Obama. I do believe Romney can win, and that he owuld be far better than Obama...but also far less than what we as conservatives want and need to post haste begin turning this nation around and back to its fundamental, moral and conservative roots.

Yes the have to kiss Iowa's arse because you can't tell the truth that Ethanol is a crock.
And NH, gee until the close their primary so that folks from Mass cannot vote it is a joke.
With you 100%

And a root canal can be “acceptable” in order to avoid pain.
But just as with the root canal, accepting RINOmney will leave one with less than one had before.
RINOmney is a dork.
Period.
My Prediction?
We have 5 or more candidates in November...
*Obama
*Romney (?) or ?
* Paul
* Nader
* And Bloomberg / Trump / Palin / Whomever ?
Obama wins with 37% of the vote and the Country is so polarized that _ _ _ _ _..... You fill in the blank, I don't even want to got their in terms of peoples moral and potential scenario's...
” Im quite aware that it may give us four more years of Obama*.”
And that means the suspension of the Constitution. A Marxist/socialist government and situations reminisent of Germany 1939.
Again the media is trying to pick the nominee..Well this conservative doesn’t find Willard acceptable!!
Well I will state unequivocally that I am one Mississippian that would piss on Romney even if he wasn't on fire...
I’m thinking that Hillary gets the nomination - if the Alabama or Georgia case results in Obama’s decertification, all hell will break lose.
I will vote Mitt if forced, but I’d rather have Newt and enjoy the debates.
Otherwise known as "Tuesday"....

Republicans cannot credibly run on repealing Obamacare with Romney as the nominee.
Romney Gives Mass. Health Reform an 'A' (in July, 2009)

"The portrait depicts the governor seated at the front edge of his desk wearing his trademark business suit. Beside him is a small framed photo of his wife, Ann, and ... [wait for it] ... a copy of the health care reform law he called his greatest achievement.
I concur, I have been thinking the same thing. Let us say it is Santorum and he picks Newt for VP ASAP and the others ( Including Bachmann and Cain) throw their weight onto it, it is a momentum stopper for Romney.
But I hate to say it, I don't trust Michelle, I can see her angling for a Cabinet post. Sorry I call them as I see them.
Dole=McLame=Romney= RINO=Loser= Obama.
I stand with both hands held high, middle fingers extended and salute the Republican Party. Nice going and way to sell us out. Now go “F” yourselves. Just vote every liberal or incumbent out. Sabotage the RINOs and don’t let them make a career out of PRETENDING to be conservatives.
I’m done with the Republican party and will switch to independent from now on. It’s all one big Republicat or Demoblican party of government parasites now. I say let the detroitification of the USA begin so the natives will start taking out the fat cats. Hahahahahaa priceless.
Santorum is the best choice for President given the slate of candidates we have (Pro-life advocate). Perry is my second choice, even though hes not polling very well. Newt has plenty of issues that would prevent me from supporting him in the primaries (gorebull warming, poor judgement, trust issues). Depending on the running mate selected, those are the only candidates I could vote for in the general election. Never Romney and no way in hell I would support a crank like Misses Paul. Any others are totally off my radar.
The more I have thought about it, the more I agree to sit it out or go 3rd party. There will NEVER EVER be a better time to start voting for WHO YOU WANT for president, and not ACCEPTING the lesser of two evils.
Also, I would welcome OBAMA as the end of the American experiment, meaning FEDERALIST system - and the STATE secession fallout that would follow in it's wake. At least there is a chance to get the civil war over in my lifetime as opposed to me children's lifetime if Romney gets in and puts America back on the slow boil to bankruptcy.
SOONER IS BETTER THAN LATER.
We need to spend a heck of lot more time in finding the best candidate instead of posting trash like this.
The distorted Gallup numbers are way off.
The huge majority of CONSERVATIVES in RED states don’t see Willard that conservative. And folks in BLUE states who self describe themselves as “conservatives” are in actuality only mushy MODERATES lying that they’re not.
Agreed. This stalemate can only be solved the conservative candidates coming together and deciding which one will carry the banner. I have suggested an on-line Conservative Convention, but we are too late for that (next cycle maybe). But if this continues, the conservative vote will be split in every state and Mitt will skate in!!!!
He looks pretty pleased and among his friends - Birds of a feather -
That should be the title with the photo

This particular photo is getting harder to find - some scrubbing going on? SAve it - post it again and again, email it everywhere.
I cannot stand to watch or hear O'Bumbles talk. NO. 2 on that list is fast becoming this puke - Slick Willard.
Not this one. I will write in someone.
Not this one. I will write in someone.
Maybe we all need to write in Santorum!
Your vote could only be decisive if you’re in a “swing” state. If you’re in a state like TX, it won’t matter what you do. If Obama’s sweep is big enough to take red states, it doesn’t matter how we voted (or didn’t).
If Romney gets the nomination I will hold my nose and vote for him (did the same with McLame). Nothing could be worse than 4 more years of Obama.
—Your vote could only be decisive if youre in a swing state.—
You’ve discovered my Achilles heel. I lived in Washington state until last summer. Nobody I voted for ever won. And now that I am in Kentucky, pretty much everyone I want to vote for will win, whether I vote or not.
“unless the conservatives, Santorum, Perry and Newt quickly coalese and boil down to a single conservative, so they can garner all of the conservative vote behind one candidate, we will be faced with Romney winning the nomination.”
These guys are _politicians_, Jeff, with egos to match.
Do you _really_ expect them to do something like that?
I certainly don’t. And, like you, I know what the results are going to be....
To all those who say that these actions, if commonplace, will elect OBAMA, I say, so what? Romney is no better, and to elect him will send the message that he has some sort of mandate to continue his liberal policies, and that will result in a false sense of security to the Conservative populace that he will somehow be better than OBAMA. But I think he may actually be more dangerous.
Post of the day!!!!! LOL!

I’d pee on him even if he weren’t on fire!

Mitt Romney wins much coveted Jimmy Carter endorsement
Gore Praises Romney's 'Climate Protection Plan'

Carville(D):
"It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."
Sen. John Kerry (D) to Don Imus on RomneyCARE:
"I like this health care bill".
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) on RomneyCARE:
"To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
Tell me what parts of the Constitution are enforce now? Both parties routinely ignore it and do as they please. We are no longer a republic and the Constitution is in the way of the liberals, both parties. We are no longer a country where the rule of law means anything. Sadly we are corrupt to the core at most all levels of government.
Unfortunately we have lost our republic. Neither the country or the republicans have the gumption to fight for its restoration. I fear I will live to see the day that Reagan spoke of where he would often say, freedom is just one generation away from being lost. We are quickly approaching that point and the powers that be in Washington are not asleep at the wheel they are the ones, both parties driving the ship of state into the rocks.
Check out post 21 LMAO!

Have you broken down the primaries by proportionate representation vs winner-take-all states? I ask because I wonder if, even with a split conservative vote, it’s possible to deny Romney a simple majority of delegates and get a brokered convention.
How did they define a conservative? I’m guessing anyone who could say “Reagan” without sneering or breaking into profanity would qualify as conservative for Gallup.
I’d vote for Jimmy Carter then Mitt
