Properly punctuated, I think you meant to say: “if it were for the fact [that] Ron Paul and you—his intellectually-challenged supporters—actually believe what you just wrote, you Paultards would actually be funny.”

What did I just write? Or assert? Or believe? (I asked a couple of questions, intending to ridicule someone else’s assertions.)

As to your second statement that my time on this forum is getting very short: Is that a threat? a promise? a prediction? What do you know that I (apparently) don’t?
(I see that you have been on Free Republic about 4 months longer than I have, so we’re both getting older—thirteen years is a long time! I hope that that’s all that you meant.)

And I see that stockpirate and wilco200 are wisely keepong their mouths shut and are not defending beastiality as they were earlier.

(Ooohh - am I making a false statement? They only need say “Beastiality is bad” if they want to correct me.)

Ron Paul is the only sane candidate in the race. People like you that defend the status quo are the ones that are insane.

Do you honestly think we can continue borrowing 43 cents for every dollar spent? Do you honestly think 1.5 trillion dollar deficits can go on forever? To you like the IRS, Department of Education, Energy, EPA? Are property seizures, no knock law and warrantless searches OK with you. Is it OK to lock up Americans without any criminal charges ever being filed? Are you in favor of nation building wars, in nations that hate us. Forcing our troops to use PC rules of engagement that put their lives in undo risk so the we can win the "hearts and minds" of the heartless mindless savages that live there is OK with you? Yeah Ron Paul is insane for trying to return the nation to is founding principles and prosperity. But it's sane sit around and support status quo politicains that enable and protect the oligarchy as it robs the nation of it wealth and culture.

Years ago with Steve Forbes we had a change to right the ship of state but we blew it and choose Dole and then Bush instead. Well we have another chance now, probably our last chance if it's not to late already. But it looks like we are going to blow it again and elect another "safe" big government, big spending establishment CINO. Because as we all know Ron Paul is a kook running operation ciaos for the Rats to help Romney beat the true conservative.

True Liberty is not license. Those who think as you, sir, pervert liberty, and destroy the fundamental principles that allow a culture to thrive economically. This is the error of libertarian philosophy.

What libertarianism proposes is moral relativism under the pretense of “non-interference.” However, in the final measure, the result is that guaranteed outcome of any morally ambiguous system, which denies human nature and the transcendent truths that govern all cause and effect relationships. In practice the imagined utopia of the libertarian is identical in its altruistic deception to that of atheistic communism; and the outcome is predictable: the destruction of the individual and the corporate body of humanity we call society.

Libertarians think they may advance the cause of “social liberalism” simultaneously with “fiscal conservatism;” but this duality of purpose is folly, and works diametrically and insidiously against itself. The social plagues induced by such novel philosophies invariably drain the public treasury, render the distinctions of absolute right and wrong to ambiguity, destroy public confidence in justice, and dissolve private wealth.

Human society does not and cannot exist in a moral vacuum. A society that having no absolute standards of conduct defers all decisions to the individual, exercising little or no restraint on behavior, abdicates the single most legitimate purpose of the state: to increase the common good and uphold the moral order. To quote Edmond Burke:

“Men are qualified for civil liberty in exact proportion to their disposition to put moral chains upon their own appetites, — in proportion as their love to justice is above their rapacity, — in proportion as their soundness and sobriety of understanding is above their vanity and presumption, — in proportion as they are more disposed to listen to the counsels of the wise and good, in preference to the flattery of knaves. Society cannot exist, unless a controlling power upon will and appetite be placed somewhere; and the less of it there is within, the more there must be without. It is ordained in the eternal constitution of things, that men of intemperate minds cannot be free. Their passions forge their fetters.”

A corrupt society, filled with men of licentious inclinations, cannot maintain its economic stability; or do you suppose the folly of the Roman Republic is worth revisiting in our times? “Give us bread and circuses!”

Economics does not transcend moral absolutes. Economics does not trump the Natural Law. History proves conclusively that no immoral or amoral culture can long prosper, nor survive its growing litany of perversions against the Natural Law; for such a corrupt body becomes its own undoing. Unfettered liberty generates unfettered vice.

Vice is not virtue; even if for a time libertarianism may advance a nation’s economic standing, it remains a foundation of sand because it denies the absolute transcendent truth indelibly stamped on the consciousness of every man by He who created all things. God is not mocked.

Neither the term nor concept of "states' rights" exists ANYWHERE in the Constitution.

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the 10th amendment?

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

It sounds great.
No Govt should tell people what to do but when you get down to the nitty gritty and ask should be get rid of incest laws, bestiality, marry a dog etc they cannot answer or do one.

This is where Paul is playing with them that is if he knows what he is saying half the time because last week he thought he was the only Dem on the stage.
