this is an open primary and his majority of votes come from non party, Dems and even gets support from the flea infested folk from occupy.
If Paul which he will not is the nominee then I’m out of voting because PAUL is just as dangerous as bozo the clown, difference is bozo knows what he is doing this idiot forgot he was supposed to be a Dem last weekend on stage.
There is a historical parallel for Paul in the Weimar republic of Germany- I just can’t think what it is. Or perhaps the “no-nothings” or “nativists” in our own history— from the Gangs of New York. The nativist thread runs through it, mixed with what is unarguably sound fiscal restraint and constitutional regard. But then the reality of the world and our role in it as a country steps in and all hell breaks loose.
Paul is about as conservative as obama is Teddy Roosevelt (who was an original RINO colonialist/national socialist). That is what people miss when the word “Conservative” comes up— that it does involve govt. in a strong role but limited setting- as in national defense, intelligence and foreign policy.
He is as much a republican as Mittens.

Calling people we disagree with crazy is something The Left does. It's something I would expect to find from the socialist on dailykos.com instead of conservatives on freerepublic.com. Conservatives should be able to discuss ideas rationally, without resorting to personal attacks as The Left does.
I am not a Ron Paul supporter. I am a strong Tea Party supporter who is currently supporting Rick Santorum only because he is, by far, the best of what is left.
Ron Paul's ideas are not crazy. They are what you get when you are truly, truly, truly for limited government. Ron Paul and the Libertarians are intellectually and philosophically consistent. They have stronger and more logical underpinnings to their stances on limited government -- i.e. they want limited government for everything. It might be unrealistic to expect to do that in today's world, but it is not crazy.
It is we other conservatives who have not thought through our ideas as much -- when are we for limited government and when are we for interventionist government?

Right. Crazy people don't go on record as saying it's OK for Iran to get nuclear weapons, when it's Iran's stated goal to wipe Israel off the state of the map and also to attack the United States.
