We’ve been sold into an arranged marriage, folks.
Might as well learn to lay back and enjoy it.

How on earth does DeMint think he’s going to have a senate to keep control if Romney is the nominee? LOL, they can’t all be that stupid can they?

Epic Fail Jim Demint...I find it amazing that I keep getting calls from the GOP asking for money. I always put em on hold in my kitchen drawer and try to get back to them 20 or 30 minutes after I’m finished with what I’m doing but they always hang up. Weird....

DeMint is living proof of the need for TERM LIMITS! After two terms they always seem to go down the route of the RINO.

From a predictive stance, he’s probably right. Gingrich, Santorum, and to a lesser extent, Perry, will split enough votes for Romney to win, or at least come very close.

At least one of those three should drop out after SC, and another by the time FL is over. By that point, it should be clear who actually has a chance of running a winning campaign, and they need to unite or let Romney’s strategy of victory via fragmentation to succeed.

I find it a bit disconcerting that we're being ‘told’ Romney will be winning, ahead of his wins. Funny, because everyone I know regards Romney as Obama lite.

“He endorsed Gov. Romney last time.”

DeFraud.

Just like Haley.

We have been sold a bill of bads, conservatives.

If Romney is nominated...we lose either way. He likey won’t beat Obama (there is a reason the Dems and Media want him in). If he wins, Conservatism and Republican Brand destroyed.

*If Romney is nominated, we need to start another Party. A Party for Conservatives: We need TeaParty,Jim Robinson, Palin, Cain...it can be done.

DeMint said he was not going to endorse a candidate yet, because he wanted to focus on the Senate. "I want to help deliver a conservative Senate, otherwise it doesn’t matter who is in the White House.” he said.

This is why I like DeMint. And Allen West of Florida. Both know that they can be more affective in Congress and Senate. That's where we need to make the biggest changes.

I am so sick of these sell-outs.

I have one foot out of the Republican party right now. If Romney wins the nomination, it will be both feet.

Has his priorities straight anyway.

"I think Romney's going to win here," said DeMint, "I think that some of the other that might have had an advantage here have really crossed ways with some Republicans as they've criticized free enterprise concepts." DeMint said, clearly referencing Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich's recent attacks on Romney's record at Bain capital.

No Jim, it's because South Carolina has an open primary in a year when the Democrats have an incumbent, and will be gladly crossing over to vote for Willard in the Republican primary.

"I’m a little concerned about the few Republicans who have criticized some of what I consider free market principles here,” DeMint said."

This is a key factor. Such criticism has achieved the unlikely result of uniting key free market conservatives in defense of Romney just as the campaign enters a crucial phase. It was not the brightest strategical move on the part of his opponents.

What happened to the TEA Party, Senator DeMint?

Romney is NOT TEA Party. South Carolina needs to be the firewall.
