That you don't consider Bachmann, Perry, Gingrich or Santorum conservative is the problem.

I didn't comment on those you mention so by omission you leap to conclusions?

If you look at my posting history, you will not see criticisms of any of these candidates, quite the opposite actually as I have defended them, all except Paul and Romney.

The Tea Party was about bringing in new blood, outsiders if you will...ala Palin and Cain.

That you assume you know where I stand is on the candidates you mentioned is well, an assumption.

You know what they say about assuming, right?

->It isn’t dying because it is leaderless or poor ideas. It is dying because the governmental system we have accommodates socialism.

I understand. It’s not the views of the majority of the people of our country.

These folks here are in power along with the president and vice president and they seem to forget, it’s we, the people vs we, the elites. They are abusing the constitution. We are not extreme to say that. We have a right to be concerned.

The US Senate is composed of 100 senators
There are 2 from each of the 50 states regardless of population.

The House of Representatives has 435 members.
The number of US Representatives per state is determined based on population, so that more populous states have a greater number.

The rich have learned to vote themselves money and has left us.

Ah, now I think I have a better idea where you are coming from.

You're saying Conservatism is dying because the moral responsibility that must go along with it is lacking.

If I read you correctly, I can't say I disagree.

Very disappointed in Rush. Me also.
I listened to the whole show, and it seemed to me the whole three hours was about Romney ? Rush defended Romney at every turn.

It may be dying within you... but I can assure you that it will always exist. Man yearns to be free... it has always been that way. They will have to kill all of us to snuff out the last ember of Conservatism... and even then... someday in the future... men will once again be free. Without Conservative ideology... there can be no Freedom and Liberty... for they are one in the same.

But the way we regain our rightful authority in this nation is not apparent...yet.

Oh yes it is, whether what is necessary takes place is subject for another thread.

"Romney sure can talk the talk. He sure SOUNDS conservative, but everything about him gives me the heebie-jeebies."

All politicians lie, this should be a given.

My question is why do we listen to any of them? We should let their record speak for them and ignore what they say.

[Yeah, but he’s clearly said the first thing he’s gonna do is repeal Obamacare. And I think he’s made that clear, and I believe that’s what he’ll do. ]

Anyone willing to bet their life on that? I mean literally.

Let it become extinct.

I don't care if the GOP survives, but I do care about our nation.

If you think Obama is better than any curent GOP contender, fine. But the time is coming where we will have to pick. I will not pick Obama...

No, it is not dying. We do not have a leader, a fighter, a patriot who will put their country before all else. The country is starving for a leader to get behind.

Agree--

The country needs to feel "confident" again. When there is no confidence projected from those in charge--then no one invests, business will not grow steadily, etc; as lack of confidence fuels worry. People are worried...but I agree Conservatism is not dying, unless we give up the ship then; we only have ourselves to blame.

Choose our battles wisely. For so much of the hype-smoke and mirrors- on these candidates is from the recklessness or irresponsibility of the special interest group -PACs, little venture capitalists that they are; working in the name of a candidate, which the candidate has to say he/she has no control over; while working in their own best interest. That should change, as that favored candidate face is on that ad, media content and what might turn out and out Pinocchio-isms, just might boomerang.

I guess I was awkwardly trying to make that point, that people are suckered in by him, by what he says, not dig into his record.

Apparently you did not read the post.....

Nor do you actually listen to what Rush say's.

Heck dude.....Newt hurt himself...and admitted it. Rush didn't do that to him. He just pointed it out. And he was right.

And I'm a Newt supporter....

On another rant....."the media" didn't pick this candidate. The GOP did. Just like they picked Dole, and McCain.

The GOP can go pound sand at this point......I'm very close to being done with them. And if Romney get's the nomination....I am done. And I will be calling my Congressman, and Senators tomorrow...and tell them the same thing.

Which will amount to zip, zero, nada....but will make me a tad happy.

Abuse their power? no, they shouldn’t be there at all. Our founding fathers made a very good constitution were the states picked the two senators not the people and there should be tens of thousands of house of representatives today and none of them being payed.

it’s being hijacked by the far left republicans. And people are confused on who is conservative. Such as with Gingrich and Perry. Such as with Bachmann and Santorum. And the tea party people have a hard challenge to keep the people elected from being co-opted.

...”conservationism”?

And...”What kind of hammer needs to be knocked over your head?” Not insightful. But kind of threatening, bud.
