For some, he may be saying the right things while running for office, but all too recently he was trashing conservatives and everything they stood for (remember Paul Ryan, anyone?). A couple of empty soundbites or “gotcha” applause lines in a debate are not enough to make ammends.

I don't know if any human has ever existed that was truly as intelligent as Noot thinks he is. And you're right; it appears as if Noot's first reaction is to look toward the almighty Government for a solution. Government doesn't exist to solve our problems. It exists to provide National Defense, to oversee basic infrastructure as needed, and to not meddle in our daily lives. Of course, I'm not like Ron Paul, and think we need to pay 0 taxes (wtf? who would pay for all Paul's earmarks), but I think you cut the unnecessary functions of government and it'd be surprising how few tax dollars are truly needed for a perfectly constitutional and functioning government.

He's also incredibly thin skinned. What happens if Obama runs a negative ad? Is he going to flip out like he did here? He's somewhat unstable.

You’re not a Newtard either.

Oh my, Rush just said Newt had the best debate ever! He is SO in the bag for Romney now!

As far as I’m concerned, Newt is the stalking horse just like Fraud Thompson was in 2008. The same “arguments” that were used for Freddie last time are being used by the Newtards this time (”electable”, “good speaker”, “has the cash”), none of which are valid reasons to base a vote on.

i think you are right - we have tons of ‘strategy’ voters that are easily influenced by the talking heads and gop establishment

i was told here that bachmann was ‘unelectable’ because of her voice

like newt - strategy voters are not as smart as they think they are

conservatism works every time its tried

in my opinion, bachmann was the most conservative - santorum is my next choice

Sorry, unlike some on this forum, I don’t get WEAK IN THE KNEES whenever someone gives a decent speech. He said plenty that should give conservatives reason to pause, but that’s hard to do when your screaming like a 14-year old Beeber groupie whenever he gets an applause line.

Yep...Bachmann, Santorum, Perry, and a distant fourth is Newt. The rest are in the tank for socialism.
