I have mixed feelings about this. I like Perry. I think he’s the ONLY outsider in the race and this just eliminates that.

Perry and Newt have been talking for a couple of weeks about this..so says FOX NEWS.

My question is..what if the story tonight is not just about women? What if it is about the Israelis, arms and money? What if that story comes to life and knocks Newt to his knees?

What if Newt’s alter ego shows up and cancels him out?

To me..with Perry out..this is dicey. If Newt crashes now, conservatives are really in trouble.

Again..I hate to see Perry get out..I would have chosen one of the other two to drop out before him.

I don’t think Rick Perry would leave Texas for a veep spot and I doubt he would leave for a cabinet spot.

He would be a great Secretary of Energy and, if he feels he could help the country in that position, he might do it.

but he’s got a pretty good job right now and he does it well.

Beyond ugly.

Ugly to the core.

Really, really ugly.

(and still at it)

He’s against SOPA. Stop spreading lies.

You got it wrong. Here is what he said:

"There is, and can be, a limitation on that. You know, freedom of speech. The things you can’t say. You can’t cry ‘fire’ in a crowded theater. And there are limitations to all freedoms. They’re not absolute rights."

Rick thinks the government grants us our freedom. He has the 'bass-ackwards'. He is DEAD WRONG and DANGEROUS. He needs to go.

Perry needs to be Chief of Staff, as in Get rid of all the staff at these 4 Departments.

What story tonight are you talking about?

Rick Perry knows Newt pretty well. He would not endorse someone who didn’t support Israel.

You’re right about Perry. He was the only outsider and the one Obama feared. I think Obama set all his minions against Perry.

Obama is horrible, horrible, most horrible.

Remember that, people.

Newt will decimate him in debates. Newt cannot, in the wildest dreams of anyone, be as horrible as Obama.

We’ve got to stand behind him now that Perry is out.

“The only problem I have with supporting Newt ... and this is petty ... that he has some really despicable fans on Free Republic who have shown their support for Newt in an ugly way by hateful trashing of other candidates.”

Replace “Newt” with any of the candidates and your post is exactly the same.

You bet, the Perry supporters were so nice. I am sure they never went negative with the tother candidates. Give me a break. What nonsense.

Everyone can relax. Newt wouldn't pick another southerner to be his veep. Geography, along with states' electoral vote count, plays the major part in any veep selection.

Well, a little yeah. But unless you’ve been on Perry threads for the past couple of months, you do not know the full extent of evil.

These people mostly started out as Cain supporters. Cain hated Perry. Evil hates good. His venom spread to his supporters who formed groups and did precious little things like adding ugly keywords to Perry threads and pinging their list of villains to come on Perry threads and insult Perry and his supporters.

They then mostly became Newt supporters, but I can’t blame Newt for that.

Yes, I’ve made the random (maybe not so random) post nicely pointing out the deficiencies of other candidates, but it was never a concerted attack driven by hatred.

I will never, until I lose my memory and forget who these people are, have ANY respect for anything they say or do again.

I understand the “petty” sentiment. I’ve always liked Cain, Newt and Perry the best of the group.

Our handsome Texas governor is an honorable man and a great Conservative- twice that of RINO voting Santorum.

It’s time for Santorum to put his country before himself and drop out.

See my later post.

Perry supporters never did to others what was done to them.

I’ve posted negative posts about Santorum because I don’t like him.

Everybody has done this. I’m talking about a concerted hate movement. You don’t know about it. Lucky you.

And now, even now that Perry is dropping out after a noble effort, they’re still making their snotty remarks. It’s in their DNA.

I’m for Newt, but I really like Rick Perry. He’s a gentleman and is showing honor. I think you’ll see that lots of people feel that way about him.

Maybe so, but I read some pretty “snotty” stuff coming from the Perry folks as well. Just saying. I wish everyone would just support their candidate and stop the negative crap. Everyone. Including me.
