And then there were three and a half minds left campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.

He’s looking petty. He acts like he wants the sympathy vote. Not good.
Obviously, CNN is hoping to knock Newt out.
Santorums drivel about wondering what Newt will say next went over like a fart in church...weak applause.
Santorum really does inflate his resume a lot...and trots out the same old examples over and over.
I really don’t like these questions. They are not designed for detailed description of policy but rather to get the Republicans attacking each other. Too much Jerry Springer, not enough policy.
How long is the debate? I missed the first 45 minutes...is it being repeated?
He bit and went on the defensive like a mentored student would.
Imagine if any questions had to do with Obama screwing things up?

We don’t need a flash, grandiose President. We need a solid conservative, a good steward.
I don’t know that I have ever heard and entire answer by Santorum. I just can’t help but tune him out.
Iowa was a fluke. Santorum was down in the low double/high single digits in SC today. Gingrich was leading Romney by 6 points.
So why not ask Gingrich the questions...oh, I guess it’s because they can get Santorum to attack Gingrich and do their work for them. But it’s backfiring, because it’s sure not making Santorum look good.

It's very obvious tonight, and hard to watch. He's making me wince. And I agree with him on most things.
CNN is using Santorum to the best of their ability to split the vote again to help out Mittens.
Newt just hit it out of the park again. Rick, when are you going to start attacking Obama rather than Newt?
