It's 0930 EST and there's nothing in the sidebar that looks like a live thread for the SC primary . . .
I take that back-—results are being posted.
I think you mean .7% not 7%.
Romneybots cheering and chanting with signs http://www.therightscoop.com/south-carolina-primary-open-thread/
I’m doing my best in South Florida and I’m a CA transplant. It’s nice having my votes matter!!!
Don't have much use for her. She's half a notch up from Dana Perino.
Grandma Pam, Perry is good friends with tea party Gov. Rick Scott here. I bet Rick Scott endorses Gingrich!!!! Perry is not done fighting but will just do it differently and he will go down in history as helping save our republic. WHOOHOO!!!!!!!!!
You have a bunch of tranplanted yankees, loads of Cubans that reliably vote conservative other hispanics from all over central and south America who vote allover the map, lots of Miami/Ft. Lauderdale blacks, we all know how they vote,a few locals who have been down here for a while, split with 1/3 left 1/3 right 1/3 npas S.Fla is truly all over the map.
Ha! Brit tells Brett not to get too carried away now...Newt only won because of the debates. And only one candidate has done well in one state and that is Mitt. HUH?
You're right. I will put that on my calendar.
Man, the spin does NOT stop at Britt hume.
He’s now redefining the word “electibility” as the S. Carolinians see it.
Megyn: Do you think Mitt can turn this around???
Meghan: “Is there any reason to believe Mitt Romney can turn this around...?!”
Juan, at least, gets my respect for speaking well of Gingrich’s win, in spite of being stomped by him a couple of debates ago.
I said 7% when it was 7 precincts (out of 2,136). My bad.
Me too Pravious! What’s up? Romney 40% Newt 32%? Called already for NEWT?
Brit Hume just won’t give in...still stumping for Romney.
These Fox people are making me sick.
They are still solidly carrying Mitt’s banner.
Fox news in knee deep for Romney. Wallowing in his inability to knock Gingrich back.
But Juan just said that the polls are clear that only one candidate can beat Barry and that is Mitt. HUH again?
“Paul needs to stay in until after Virginia....He needs to win VA and put Willard out completely.”
Well, Ron Paul needs to stay in until the convention in my view, but I’m a RP supporter so I guess you’d expect that.
We’re doing what we can to pull off a win in VA. And if not, to make sure we “help” mitt spend as much of his resources as we can.

You said it....they just won’t give it up. Wow. Oh no, Kraut coming up next.
Yup. Right now he's saying that Romney has a better chance of beating Obama than Newt. Yeah. Keep beating that drum. No one's listening anymore.
I hope you all realize just how spastic the enemy media is going to go on Newt this week.
CBS evening News devoted ELEVEN MINUTES to bashing Gingrich last night.
It’s not going to be pretty.
MOUNT UP, FOLKS, it’s time we ORGANIZE.
“Are they still going to call Mitt the Front Runner?”
Good question. Think they will say, “Mitt is still the front runner but....(fill in anything).”
Brit jumped the shark tonite bringing up John Anderson and his gun control speech. He was trying to inject it into the Gingrich win. He his a dyed in the wool Romneybot.
“Newt Gingrich is right with God and I believe God is with Newt Gingrich. Im praying. Keep praying.”
Our battle cry!
With a Hearty AMEN!
WE THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN!!!!! GO NEWT!!!!
Thankfully, there is a Lifetime movie starting at 8...Rob Lowe is Scott Peterson. :)
Yes, and I think some “love notes” to FOX are in order.......to the tune of “Fair and balanced, my arse!!!!!!!”
GO NEWT :-)
Excellent post. BTTT
They call it on the basis of their exit polls. The actual results come in precinct by precinct, and one given set may come from an area that supports, say, Romney over Gingrich. But statewide according to the exit polls, Gingrich won, and he must have done so handily or they wouldn’t have announced it so quickly.
I’d guess the record for a call based on actual sampling of the vote would be CBS in the ‘64 California primary. We had an employee at every polling place in the state, and they were armed with dimes and given orders to phone in after the first ten ballots were counted, then again at the end. The call was made within thirty minutes.

[Are they still going to call Mitt the Front Runner?]
My guess is yes!
Brian at The Right Scoop hates Ron Paul. The only reason he included him is because he is on the ballot and unfortunately, still the race.
That’s good information to know about your governor. I pray that we do see more of Gov. Perry.
Now that this is over, I will be so glad to be rid of all those annoying phone calls.
They just said on WIS (NBC-Columbia) that Gingrich appears to be winning Spartanburg County by a huge margin. Spartanburg is a big conservative county.
The analyst on WIS also said that right now it looks like
but that Gingrich’s margin could conceivably grow.
Is it ok to quote Erickson?
Link to that info?
I can’t wait to hear Glenn Beck on Monday, bellyaching about how all us Newt supporters are liars and not true conservatives. I will listen a few minutes and probably switch it off unable to stomach his whining.
Actually, Juan asked exactly the question every Democrat wanted, so he did us a service.
Did you wash after....?

- Newt is passing Mitt like a freight train passing a tramp.
Brit Hume just now essentially said as much, because Romney is the only candidate who showed strong in all three primaries so far. Gee, suddenly it seems as though winning SC is virtually inconsequential now. What spin....
Yeah, that's right. They said that Mitt was a shoe-in since he was going to sweep Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
Even better....the movie “Love Comes Softly” is on Hallmark at 2200 Eastern....and yes.......I watch Clean, family “happy ending” Flicks and vote Conservative....
GO NEWT :-)
FL’s primary is open, right?
