It amazes me that people think the American people would choose someone like Calista Gingrich as First Lady. Imho, this will turn off huge numbers of people - a woman who had an adulterous affair with a married man for over six years.

***

Well, I’m going to tell you — I’m not voting for Callista G. I’m voting for Newt. And personally, I hope his presidency ushers in a new era of First Ladies who graciously stand by, support their husband (or First Dudes who support their wife) and keep their TRAPS shut for a change. I’m tired of these silly causes, tired of the drama, the attention falling on the spouse.

However, Callista IMO is a strong conservative advocate, has written some delightful books on the greatness of America for children. Believe me, there are literally NO books for kids that explain American history, exceptionalism, or greatness. I would be SURE that THIS First Lady is proud of her country — and has always been!!

Acutally, the certification date is always two weeks after the caucus when the Form E’s are turned in. In reality any certification for any election usually takes a week.

The caucus is way too decentralized and volunteer for any one person to control it. Even if they tried they’d need blind luck to make it happen.

Has anyone specualated what effect, if any, the bad weather will have on the outcome. I think if anything it will hurt Romney and Paul since they have more of the fair weather liberals and or democrats voting for them.

The LORD Jeus Christ could not get a pass with some of them

He was a Jew
He wore a dress
He had a loud voice
He whipped and assaulted other men
He caused riots
he didnt have a real job
He paid his taxes from off shore accounts
He forgave adulterers
He consorted with prostitutes
he ate with liberals
He had secret meetings with other men on roof tops
He lived in the Middle East
He was homeless
He was never married
He had lots of men friends
He had lots of women friends
Rich women supported him
He never voted Republican
he never voted for a Conservative
he never went to church
he was not well liked by the good people
etc

And here again, we ARE electing a President, not a leader of a church.

That is a ridiculous statement. NO one thinks we are electing a church leader.

Start at least trying to make sense, OK? TRY to make your arguments cogent.

Wanting a leader to be a Christ-follower is a completely different thing than wanting a "Pope" to be our President.

Do you get that??

btw, just for the record, I hope that Newt creams Romney today.

I find that pathetic, hippocritical and disenguineness.

Newt has already done great things for this nation. He would like to do more. I think he can.

To compare an unrepentent grifter to the repentent Newt is pretty hypocritical.

"It amazes me that people think the American people would choose someone like Calista Gingrich as First Lady".

Calista would be 1000 times better than the Wookie!

What if you thought Calista's husband could turn the country around and Mitt couldn't.

Good point.

As a former supporter of Rick, his attacks on privatizing SS were over the top and not conservative. He gave the old, we can’t afford it now excuse which means never. He blew it this week horribly to the point of permanent damage.

The Reagans were married on March 4, 1952. Their daughter Patti was born seven months later, on Oct. 21, 1952.

Like this turned off voters?

Good one, Tenessee Nana.

What I’d like to see over time is see the presidency come down a few notches. Stop with the excessive travel, stop with the celebrity dinners, the rushing through town in limos, etc. All the BS.

I hope Newt would take it to that level, but I’m not sure he will. I know he would definitely bring it up above the notch of appearances at Disneyland.

Well I find you to be disingenuous, pathetic and arrogant, so there.
Why don't you ponder these words.

Thanks for posting this thread. I was looking for one early this morning when we headed out to vote. Showers today and partly cloudy. Some heavy showers but enough breaks to easily head out to the polls. Most of the storms are across the upstate.

You vote for the President based on what their wife looks like?

I’ve always called universal suffrage a big mistake... and you’ve given me more proof as to why that’s so.

You are the one having emotional problems here today. You react and whine about little to nothing. And I certainly don’t need a lecture on proper righteous behavior from you.

And we can agree that we both hope that Newt CREAMS Romney today.

In light of that, do not reply to me any further, I will simply ignore you from here on out in spite of how you may try to insult me.

I remember a looooong time ago when George Wallace was approached by a reporter as soon as he left the voting booth.

The reporter asked, “How did you vote Mr Wallace?”

Wallace saidd “By secret ballot.”

I think that is the best way to answer that question.

Can you imagine what a Newt win is going to do to Cwiss Mathews? He is going to be able to water a golf
course with his spit.
