GREENVILLE, S.C. — Newt Gingrich was confronted by a black man outside Tommy's Country Ham House, who questioned him on his comments on having poor children work as janitors.
The man said what Gingrich was asking for amounted to a "new form of slavery" and would force young African Americans to drop out of school.

That Black mans mind is so messed up that he will never get it. He just does not understand the message that Newt was trying to convey. He has been on the dimoKKKRAT plantation to long.
Its about time republicans stopped shrinking from the same old tactics.
I don’t know if meeting with Weird Al would be productive. That man is an embarrassment to humanity and so is his leftist/communist employer.

So, work equals slavery, huh? But when the government feeds you, clothes you, pays for your home, all in return for simple complete loyalty, that’s freedom?

Way back when I was in school I was able to work in the cafeteria in order to earn my lunch and I was very thankful for that. Now they get all the free meals they want, even in the park during the summer time. It is no wonder so many kids don't work. They don't need to.
REENVILLE, S.C. — Newt Gingrich was confronted by a black man outside Tommy’s Country Ham House, who questioned him on his comments on having poor children work as janitors.
The man said what Gingrich was asking for amounted to a “new form of slavery” and would force young African Americans to drop out of school.
Gingrich engaged the man, speaking levelly and holding eye contact with him. He said that he suggested the jobs so that “They can get paid — they’d go to school, stay in school instead of dropping out.”
The man persisted. “You say you want Afro-Americans to come into your political party but you’ve ratcheted [your rhetoric] up since you got down here,” he said.
“What I’ve said is I’d like every young American of every ethnic background to have a job,” Gingrich responded. “How does that ratchet it up?”
The man then said he’d spoken with Rev. Al Sharpton and asked Gingrich to meet with him, Roland Martin of CNN, Ben Jealous of the NAACP and Juan Williams.
“Sure — glad to do it,” Gingrich said. “I’d be willing to do it. I know Al.”
The protester kept pushing for the meeting as Gingrich talked, demanding that he meet with the black community.
Gingrich nodded his head after the man interrupted him, and agreed. “Sure — and find a way to have everybody have a chance for a better future,” he said
Selecting Allen West as V.P. would do a lot to shut up Sharpton. Also garner military and some black support.
Gingrich would handle a meeting with Sharpton just fine.
Back during Gingrich’s “exile” years, he used to go out on book tours with big name Dems who were also selling their own books. They would hold “debates” with one another.
Gingrich’s modus operandi was to compliment them on their book, quote from it quite liberally, and use their own book to support his position. He would use their own words to filet their position, and do it with a smile, complimenting them all the while. I’ve never seen anything like it from any other politician. I’ve seen him do it at least a couple of times with different people.
He doesn’t shrink from confrontation, he loves it. He’ll have no problem with Sharpton. He’ll smile and quote Sharpton and compliment him on what a fine man he is while he takes him right down to the mat.
From your posts, I’m guessing you imagine this damages Newt.

So who do you support, and you could think about explaining why you are (for) that person, rather than imitate James Carville.

Another black so addicted to the Democrat Kool Aid he didn’t even listen to what Newt was saying about poor kids and jobs. Sharpton’s worst nightmare is that some of these kids see the light and get out of the welfare state. God forbid they might start voting republican.
Should be good if Sharpton has the guts to face Gingrich. How likely is that? Oh, let me see...
Newt should ask the Rev. Al to release his tax returns.
I would love to see him and Sharpton debate LIVE on Fox or CSPAN (to preclude selective editing). I think Newt’s disemboweling of Sharpton would be entertaining.
Why? Has the "Reverend" ever had a JOB or for that matter has the "Reverend" ever had a CONGREGATION?
Once the jobs are posted, any kid interested can apply. If the black kids dont want the job so be it. I worked as a janitor when I was 12 years old, helping to clean offices after school. Newt should have a better comeback to the racebaiters...if the black kids dont want the jobs, the white kids will do what the black kids wont.
The answer is simple: GET A JOB, and with your self-inflicted lack of skills is holding you back, blame no one but yourself (and the Progressives who keep you on The Plantation).
YOU are responsible for your existence and your income, NOT Taxpayers.
