Skip to comments.Gov. Christie: Gingrich ‘Has Been An Embarrassment To The Party’
Posted on 01/22/2012 9:55:44 AM PST by Nachum
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie appeared on Meet the Press today to do damage control for Mitt Romney and to explain why Newt Gingrich would not be an ideal Republican nominee despite his strong victory in South Carolina last night. He claimed that Gingrichs past actions have embarrassed the Republican party, and Mitt Romney was more suited to be the nominee because of his record and how he conducted himself in office as opposed to Gingrich.
David Gregory asked Christie to explain what about Newt Gingrichs politics or his character disqualified him from being the Republican nominee against President Obama. Christie suggested that Gingrich was too much like Obama, and we dont need another legislator in the Oval Office. He reminded Gregory that Obama jumped directly from a position as a legislator to the presidency, making the argument that executive experience was vitally important for the next president to draw a stark contrast with how Obama has governed.

****David Gregory asked Christie to explain what about Newt Gingrichs politics or his character disqualified him from being the Republican nominee...****
And Christie obliged.
Newt is the only individual with character and qualifications to answer questions from the Marxist media.
We need to start a list of people who have revealed themselves to be for sale or already purchased. I’ll start:
Feel free to add more...
Been going through some of this mornings Tweets.

Well...the prediction that the establishment would start to unload on Newt is coming to pass...and pretty quick too.
And we’re supposed to lend and credence to what this fat, muzzie loving slob says?
Christie goes berserk after being criticized for appointment of Muslim judge:
Sharia Law has nothing to do with this at all, its crazy! he cried. The guy is an American citizen! He concluded that the Sharia Law business is just crap
and Im tried of dealing with the crazies, adding with disgust and frustration that its just unnecessary to be accusing this guy of things just because of his religious background.
I didn't know they retrofitted the golf carts with the Volt's Litium Ion Batteries? :-)...
Another Bloomberg republican heard from!
King David was also an embarrassment but look at all the good that our Creator did through him.
That, is a good one.
It is fast becoming the Bloomberg wing!
The party has been acting like a bunch of socialist boot licking lemmings for decades now and this "embarrassment" is a bad thing for Newt? Hello!...ring-a-ding-ding is now a ring-tone.
George Bush Sr
Christie has thought the die was cast by the RHINO establishment and thus the reason he kept saying he was not ready. He was at least right about that.
I hope this is the start of a true anti-establishment, meaning anti-RHINO, rout. Someone said this may be the last Republican President. I certainly hope it is the first non-RHINO, non-milk toast, non-mealy mouthed, non-ankle grabbing, non-demorat lap dog and SUCCESSFUL conservative President of the modern era and first of a long succession of the same. I doubt it though, the country is too polarized and is teetering on the brink of civil war. A President who executes meaningful conservative reforms will probably kick the country over the edge. The entitlement class will not easily give up.
That’s OK. It’s true.
Everything Christie said I impute to Romney. Newt came across as classy, Romney came across as vindictive.
Poor little Mittens...
Someone should stand up and protect the poor little guy!!!
GTF out of the race Willard...
