Mitt Romney landed here Sunday with a simple message: Newt Gingrich is a failure and a fraud. And a disgrace. And a hapless showman.
Standing under a brilliant orange Florida sunset, Romney delivered his longest sustained critique of the South Carolina primary winner to date – ticking through a list as if he were reading off Gingrich’s Wikipedia page, and undercutting each item as he got to it.
“Speaker Gingrich has also been a leader,” the former Massachusetts governor said. “He was a leader for four years as speaker of the House. And at the end of four years, it was proven that he was a failed leader and he had to resign in disgrace. I don’t know whether you knew that, he actually resigned after four years, in disgrace.

With his liberal record, Mitt is a man who should have switched to the democratic party years ago, he has no business running for the nomination of the Republican Party.

Speaker Gingrich made history and helped create a conservative movement, Romney has a single failed term in office as a liberal.
Mitt needs to strap that dog onto the top of his station wagon and take a vacation. Geez!
I think he should take the high road. Say something like “Well, clearly SC had a different view than Gov Romney. I’m happy to let the voters here in FL decide. Let them decide what failed leadership is. Is it the 1st conservative majority in 40 years? Is it 11 million new jobs? Is it cutting spending to historic lows? Is it not only reducing the deficit but eliminating it entirely? Is it 4 straight balanced budgets? Is it major entitlement reform? If they think that’s failed leadership I’ll accept their verdict. I think they’ll agree with their friends in SC”

I know this is petty, but would someone get mitt a tailor? Every oxford he wears looks at least a size and a half too big. And could he roll up his sleeves once in a while? He looks like such a dweeb. Hey mitt, two words-european cut!!

I do not see how anyone can support him and call themselves conservative or even Republican.

I kept warning people. This all ties into the Mormon god-planet perfection thing I’ve seen over and over here in Las Vegas. They are brittle when they figure out their planet might not drop into their laps after being so good. The repressed feelings break into the open. It will get even nastier, downright vindictive.

Interesting transposition here on the part of the author,
I’m sure he meant underlining but he used undercutting
which means to cut the base out from under something,
so here’s Mitt undercutting his own argument by how
he’s attacking and it’s apparent to the subconscious
of the author.

Newt looks much more like a leader now than does a man with a near unlimited warchest and the biggest news network in the world in his pocket who seems to always be running for president and losing

The ultimate insult would be if when Palin’s deal with them ends soon, she leaves and goes to CNN for their election coverage and CNN ends up beating FOX in the ratings.
