"...Newt gives very concise, well explained answers on his positions."

That is the key.

Newt obviously KNOWS what he is talking about. Mitt is simply a "me too" guy has trouble giving concise coherent answers.

Didn't Bush allow for foreigners to join the US military even though they live in their own country and have no connection to the US and in return they get a US Citizenship?

Willard is desperate. And boring.

Good God! Mittens takes off on a one-person lecture on how Florida's economy is bad, including the space industry, and then starts hitting Obama -- a campaign speech. No one else gets a chance to respond, especially Newt who is going to give a speech on the space program. A quickie question for Ron Paul about the Everglades and then to commercial.

Have to say and agree with others, Newt's opportunity has been limited and as of now its a tie. No standout performance like last week and Romney takes every opportunity to spout campaign platitudes.

Haha, Mitt jumps in to ride on Newt’s coattails

He does this consistently during the debates. When Perry was in, he would parrot him.

When he attacks, he just rambles accusations without any basis. Same thing, again and again.

The reason this debate is boring is because Newt didn’t bitch slap any of the moderators (and they know better not to mess with the former speaker).

What, no cheering or booing? I guess poor Mitty couldn’t handle another blow to his self-esteem.

Bethcha that rule came from the RomBot camp - only way to keep Newt from ruling the night.

Absolutely. Before Pearl Harbor there was a very strong resistance to getting involved in the European war, especially in the midsection of the US where most of the young men were vital to operating farms that were just starting to recover from the Depression. All that changed when we were provoked. Dr. Paul knows this.

we definitely should not allow illegal aliens to enlist if the gov’t follows through on the proposed force reductions. Citizens who want to serve might not find slots, and we should accept no illegals under those circumstances, or any circumstances, IMO.
I worked for the Missile Defense Agency until last month, when my entire branch was eliminated in response to force reductions. 850 jobs eliminated across the agency. If I find out an illegal has been hired when we U.S. citizens were ushered out the door, I’m going to be really ticked.

**

Right. We could find ourselves in a place where Americans can’t even get accepted into the military, because, well, we’ve already got enough soldiers ...most of them mexican illegals.

And what exactly would that mean?

The last time Mark Steyn subbed for Rush, he spent the entire time bashing Newt.

Geez, I'm sorry to read that. I wasn't allowed to listen to the radio or internet during the job I held for the last three years, and I've completely lost my edge. One good thing about being laid off--I can listen again.

For whatever reason Gingrich lost that point which was a winning argument and started babbling about Medicare.

He started talking about Medicare because Romney accused him of lobbying for Medicare and influence peddling. Romney was the one who switched gears in the middle of his answer, and Gingrich had to tackle two accusations within his response time.

Cane sugar. And beet sugar.

Sugar beets are grown in Colorado and sugar is refined from them.
