Newt is a very good debater.
He knows the game.
He should have paused and said I am not going to let you change the subject just because I made a point that you are uncomfortable answering.
Romney tries to answer what have you done for the cause of conservatism?
Mentions personal achievements and says govt isn’t the only way. In other words, in govt, he’s done zilch.
There is a vast difference between “short” and “small” and Obammy is a SMALL SMALL excuse for a man.
Williams just put Romney on the spot, asked him what had he contributed to the cause of conservatism. Gave the same opportunity to Gingrich.
And THAT was disgusting, too!!!!!!!

Newt - **. Looks tired. Let himself get beat up by a Ken doll.
Santorum - * 1/2 - Must have taken some ex-lax since the last debate. He only gets 1 1/2 stars because he could NEVER be tied with Newt, however bad a night Newt has.
Romney - 1/2 * - Looks desperate, creepy and nasty. I don’t like this man.
Paul - 1/2 * - Hard for me to evaluate, because my brain has long since turned off his endless loopy anti-America whining.
Warren Buffet worked for the private sector and raised a family...that doesn’t make him conservative, Milt.
There ya go — Newt’s answer on conservatism ...this is why I’m voting for Newt.
They have been instucted not to react.

Well the nominee better get used to this kind of controlled audience. Probably a test run for Obama’s debates.
Newt should have started by telling the audience we are still a free country and they could applaud him as much and often as possible.
Who the hell is NBC to tell the audience they CAN’T applaud.
NBC does not pay taxes under Obama. What do you expect.
