Since when is Free Republic a place where longtime CONSERVATIVE members are censored because they disagree in a PRIMARY CONTEST?
When the GOP nominates their man, he will get my support.
Until then, I am entitled to my opinion of Newt Gingrich.
I believe the phrase you are reaching for is “turkey waddle” ;-)
LOL! Incredible thick, isn’t it?
But they did miss the ears...
Is NBC panelist saying Newt won, the kiss of death? If NBC is rooting for one of the candidates, it must be because they think Obama would have an easier time. No way are they rooting for anyone they think can beat Obama.
David Gregory looked semi-human in a simian manner. His mouth really is chimp-like. As for his brain, perhaps in a few more decades, it will start the development process.
Ah well, it's NBC: Nothing But Commies.
STFU, you ignorant fool.
yeah, that. lol
There is a sizable contingent on the left who believe Newt will be the easiest for Obama to beat. That's not what many here think, but some of these same MSM operatives helped drive Newt from the Congress before and they think they can discredit him again. They'll lay low until the Republican primary winner is decided, then...
I think Ann Coulter and Andrea Mitchell switched souls or something. Freaky.
DUI is hardly a reason to kill yourself.
No one is going to see nor remember Mitt’s flailing on Newt. They will however hear and remember Newt’s grasp of language, government and his ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms Americans can understand.
That is why Newt will win.
He did miss it. Newt said there were 86 languages in Miami Dade alone. He said there could be over 800 eventually and the USA needs to unify itself and have english as the official language. TYPICAL anti Newt spinmeister
I sick of watching conservatives being questioned and manipulated by liberal 'moderators'. Democrats would NEVER allow Hannity and Rush to ask them questions for two hours.
Our side needs to wake up and smell the coffee...
Yeah...that’s what I’m hearing too. Andrea Mitchell and CHuck Todd are basically saying Newt is a brilliant tactician! I’m very suspicious......
Hank
Yes, I understand and I followed the post links back up thread, because I was so stunned to have never heard such a thing, and kind of panicked to hear it at all, and nervous to have it brought up on FR. But I am antenna sensitive this election cycle! LOL!
That could turn a lot of votes.
Newt pointed out that there are enormous problems dealing with entrenched bureaucracies and elites that are weighted against doing what is right. The ones in charge would rather preside over the wreckage than give up their positions of power. That’s why he wants the people to vote with him rather than for him because people may think they can vote for him and he can solve it. This needs the people’s support to get us back on track and it is very humbling to see that we need to get our country back on track.
WOW!! Actually giving a fair appraisal. And they mentioned that Romney is getting investment income NOW from both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae!
I can’t think of any major answers tonight that will change anyone’s mind about who to vote for. In fact, I don’t think that much good information was conveyed about any of the candidates at all. I don’t believe any of the candidates stood out as being exceptionally good or bad.
Unlike last week’s debates, this one will be a complete non-event, I predict.
well, bye.
Actually the analysis by NBC has been rather favorable to Newt I think. Not so much for Romney.
Who's that smarmy she-RAT that looks like a lizard?
If it sticks out perpendicular from her shoulders its called a head! Yep pretty sure its a head, it has a nose on it.
My favorite comment on FR tonight was whoever called Ron Paul “Bat-shit Entertaining”. LOL!!
Oh, I’m aware he has flaws. I wanted Sarah Palin and now I’ve got to choose who is the least flawed that can beat Obama. It’s a hell of a choice to have to make when my candidate is sitting out.
From what i saw (only watched bits and pieces) i agree and think Santorum could end up gaining the most, although i don't think it'll be enough to seriously threaten either Mitt or Gingrich just yet. If he can follow it up with another good debate next time, then who knows, especially if Gingrich and Mitt keep pounding away at each other, allowing Santorum to take the high road again. As for Mitt, i don't think he cared so much about winning the debate as he did in just stopping the Newt momentum, which i think he may well have done in the opening minutes alone.
Newt needs to respond quickly and provide a much stronger answer to the peddling influence charge. His responses to Romney saying that (paraphrasing) "everyone knows what you're doing and America won't fall for it" or "this is the same kind of stuff you pulled with McCain, and it didn't work then and it won't work now" came off sounding like empty rhetoric since he didn't follow up with anything particularly convincing as far i'm concerned.
Not sure but think it was towards the end when they were each asked to speak about conservatism. Newt spoke of working for Goldwater, Reagan and just bounced off his record and his belief in smaller govt and his record as Speaker...he even cited something he accomplished that had not been done since 1928?
>>> Newt is a big gasbag faux intellectual. <<<<
Gee, are you a masochist or what? Again??? LOL!
Not a bad scorecard.
I give Newt the A,
Santorum a B+
Paul a B
Romney a B-
No big fireworks or big scores tonight. The last two debates were far more interesting.
Is it just me, or would Rick Perry make an outstanding Vice President?
Hank it is good cop, bad cop, don’t you know.
Broadcast NBC is the good cop.
PMSNBC be the bad cop.
Chwissie Mathews and Lwarry O’Donnell are trashing everyone, Chwissie said they were all zeroes.
Hahaha, I love it when you do that.
That was my first thought also
I think we are all sensitive this cycle.
Did anyone notice at the very end before they cut to Gregory Head that Newt and Uncle Paul shook hands in a very friendly manner while Mitt was turned the other way and joked with Ricky?
That answer by Newt was probably the best of the evening. That WILL be the difficulty of the future president.

I had to step out of the TV room. PLEASE give me a summary....THANKS.
========================================================
Haha, famous last words zotface!
You said it better than I did. I thought it was a tremendous statement.
Actually, it has been the reason for others, also.
IATZ.
Thanks Jim!
We were all gettin mighty tired of that guy.
LOL! Rita, noticed your tag on let her rip...watch it...LOL shhhhhhhhhhhh
>>> “Egads, look at Andrea Mitchells neck.
Is there a name for that?” <<<
I resemble that remark. So, WATCH it! :)
Don't be suspicious. You have to remember who these NBC jerks are - they think Obama is their Messiah, flawless, and a cinch to win. They think they can still influence the sheep. An elitist never thinks they have shortcomings and that everyone else will marvel at their intellect. In their world, Obama could never lose a debate as long as THEY say Obama won. They are going to be proven wrong. To them, 2010 never happened. Only problem is, Obama is not Bill Clinton.... Clinton for all his faults was a master politician. Obama will never possess those skills. And let's not forget about that $5 gas this summer...
Recent article compared Newt to Andrew Jackson, who bucked the establishment and took his plain speaking directly to the people. Newt is doing just that in these primaries.
Screw the pundits, elites and those who think they are in control. Go Newt!
“86 spoken in Chicago and over 200 throughout the entire USA -”
Actually, he said 86 in Miami, and 200 in Chicago....

He’d be a very effective Texas governor!
