The RNC and the DNC are corrupt.

Why aren’t we looking at Jeb Bush?

Sorry, Jeb Bush is the quintessential RINO. Dubya lite. No thanks. Wrong direction, unless you think things are dandy, and you want more of the same.

The "elites" are going to zot the robot if it doesn't perform. Romney is the "new and improved" wax model GHWB 2.0..and it ain't flying.

My guess is they jump to the lower rung and tap Jeb. Man..these people are so not getting it.

LOL. Oh, yeah - the GOP convention could be a big time, smack-down grudge match complete with all manner of hooting and hollering and shoving and shouting; everything but pretty round card girls in bikinis and I wouldn’t even count out that possibility at this point.

"...so now they are threatening the voter with a brokered convention."

That is exactly what has been implicated with a wink and a snicker.

Yes..I catch the snide digs and catalog them....and so do the American people.

I don’t like Mitch as a candidate but your are doing the devil’s work (or the dems - it’s much the same) by dragging up scandals or supposed scandals on Republicans.

Why aren’t we looking at Jeb Bush? He’s a Bush but he’s head and shoulders ahead of the field.

His turn isn't until 2016. GWB's stigma needs to wear off a bit more, first (though Obama has already done a wonderful job of making America forget.) Romney's failure to launch has messed up the whole plan.

Never say never, but I think the Bush/Texas connection is what hurt Rick Perry.

It’s not just you, but people here are fond of treating George W. Bush rather shabbily.

He was a good man and did many wonderful things for the country. I have no respect for the purists here who think it’s fine to trash him because he didn’t do everything they would have liked.

It’s disgusting, despicable and shows a lemming mentality.

Another Bush? After the George W. Bush Fiasco? I don’t think so.

"I don't think so either. I'd vote for Don Knotts before I vote for another BUSH!!!"

I would too.

And this from a man who was one of George W. Bush's most loyal and enthusiastic supporters--who praised him extravagantly here of FR when he was first elected--nominated him for Mr. Rushmore. Etc. etc. etc.

The George W. Bush Presidency was an abject FAILURE!

He will go down in history as one of the worst Presidents in U.S. history--hovering just above Lyndon Johnson, Warren Harding, U.S. Grant, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter.

“They have been doing it for a hundred years. Reagan was an accident.”

If Reagan is considered an “accident” lets hope and pray that Newt is the next “accident”.

The fact that he is an “outcast” with the elite is the best thing that could happen for us, I believe he can and will clean out DC. It will be a great start in the right direction to getting our country back. If we can elect him and then elect a house full of Tea Party people we will be on the road to recovery.

Maybe a little dreaming there but I think the time is “ripe” to manage this, a lot of people have had enough of “being used by the elites”.

This is OUR country and WE MUST get it BACK——NOW, and NEWT is our opportunity to start. He is capabale!!!

This has been a bizarre primary, but the conduct of the insiders and their arrogance has led me to be firmly behind Newt Gingrich.

Oh I agree completely. I was in Santorum's Camp until the elites threw a fit. After the NH primary I realized the ONLY way to keep the elites from having their way was to unite behind Newt. He was going to come in SECOND in SC and FL and Santorum was NOT going to win this nomination. Therefor the only smart play to achieve the NUMBER ONE GOAL...which is stopping Myth...is to go with Newt.

They overplayed their collective hands. They went WAY overboard and started a rebellion in their own party. It's their own fault (and I hope that some of them are LURKING on these threads...ANN? Are you reading this?!)

I expect the primaries will deliver a winner between Newt and Romney and there won’t be any justification for even talking about a brokered convention.

Those are my thoughts exactly. Given Mitts ceiling at 30-35%...I think this is Newt's to lose....especially if he can win Florida. If they try something sneaky...they will lose the party and that means losing power. That is the LAST thing they want.

If Newt becomes president...the list of emails to GOP talking heads that I will send telling them to stick it...and "See, I told you so" (To quote Rush...which is appropriate given he is saying run a person who articulates the conservative position) will be EPIC!

And you will go down as an idiot.

You’re worse than Obama who’s been blaming everything on the Bush presidency and it’s idiots like you who help him do it.
