My own mom was child number 14 born to my grandmother when she was 49..
she had her on a bet by a neighbor farmer who said...
‘Lilly bet your baby days are over, gram said to the farmer, bet you your milk cow they aren't!!
nine months later my mom was born, the family inherited a milk cow.....true story...

I had a cousin like that, pregnant with five kids from when she was 20 to 42. Slow to get started ("Irish birth control" = don't get married 'til 30 or 35), but we last longer!
