Hell she get 70-75% of the vote everytime....even with this around her neck...
Husband’s bank fraud and tax evasion convictions
On March 11, 2004, Schakowsky’s husband, lobbyist Robert Creamer, the executive director of the Illinois Public Action Fund, was indicted in federal court on 16 counts of bank fraud involving three alleged check-kiting schemes in the mid-1990s, leading several banks to experience shortfalls of at least $2.3 million. In August 2005, Creamer pleaded guilty to one count of failure to collect withholding tax, and bank fraud for writing checks with insufficient funds. All of the money was repaid. Schakowsky was not accused of any wrongdoing. Schakowsky served on the organization’s board during the time the crimes occurred, and Schakowsky signed the IRS filings along with her husband. U.S. District Judge James B. Moran noted no one suffered “out of pocket losses,” and Creamer acted not out of greed but in an effort to keep his community action group going without cutting programs, though Creamer paid his own $100,000 salary with fraudulently obtained funds. On April 5, 2006, Creamer was sentenced to five months in prison and 11 months of house arrest. Creamer served his five-month incarceration at the Federal Correction Institute in Terre Haute, Indiana and was released on November 3, 2006
Hey Illinois, Thanks for taking Floriduh off the top spot of Dumb ass states.
You guys make us look like winners instead of old West Palm Beach voters and bean counters.
School officials say the new improvements of the 52-year old compound will help reduce distractions, facilitate a better learning environment, and estimate the school will see between $75,000 to $100,000 a year in energy cost savings. Ridgewood High School is also planning to install a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Coalition lab for a STEM program to begin next fall. About 30 to 40 construction workers have been employed to complete the renovations including installing new flooring and cabinets.
30-40 - press release time
20,000 - not so big
“Twenty Thousand Jobs Is Really Not That Many Jobs”
(Educated Democrat, right?)
That would be 20,000 people employed for a single project - which takes nothing but simply allowing it to happen. That is a substantial number of people. So if several factories close that employ 1000 people each that’s okay because 1000 jobs isn’t that many? Absurd.
She also apparently doesn’t understand the concept of economic multiplier. A lot more jobs indirectly would created in addition to those directly created.
I guess that’s kind of small potatoes when you’re a Chicago politician.
Jan Schakowsky is a guest on WLS Radio every Wednesday. My clock radio used to be set for the exact time her interview would start. What a way to begin the day. Now I have to get up earlier, so I miss her. She is one of many members of Congress that I have to think about, scratch my head, and wonder, how the hell did she ever get put in a position of responsibility? It doesn’t say much for the mental and moral intelligence of her constituants.
She is only the second person to represent her district in the last 60 years. Her predecessor was Sidney Yates, who served from 1949 until 1999. I expect Schakowsky will hold the seat as long as she wants it.
Of course, let a Republican do something that can possibly be twisted around to be construed to be leading to the loss of five jobs, and it's a great big deal.
Exactly.......what an ignert skank. She must lunch with Sheila Jackson Lee and Nutzy Peeloosley.
Hey, they were just working class guys in flyover country. Who cares about those guys? They probably weren’t going to vote for Obama anyway.
It is to 20,000 people who don't have jobs!!!
One thing you gotta love about Dems - you can't make up the crap they come up with to make themselves look stupider than they did the day before!!!
What would you expect with an electorate that is equally stupid?
“She is only the second person to represent her district in the last 60 years. Her predecessor was Sidney Yates, who served from 1949 until 1999. I expect Schakowsky will hold the seat as long as she wants it.”
They are awake, they are doing this on purpose.
She should give up her job then, after all, it's only one and is truly insignificant.
Unfortuntely, probably won't happen. She represents the People's Republic of Evanston.
I worked at a 100 or 150 person place. Before work people would get a breakfast sandwhich from local deli and coffee shop. Then there was lunch and after work a thursday and friday pay day check food stop.
Jobs create more jobs.
Twenty thousand can mean as much or more effects.
