AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and hes not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (thats Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! Americas anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to dothats host. Get ready to what you were born to dothats listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).
Yes, I’ve noticed that. I have been busy trimming my Facebook friends. LOL!
interesting!! thanks for posting.
They blamed Conservatives when McCain lost ...don't you remember??? ...and most of us (myself included) held our noses and dutifully voted for him ...mostly because of Gov Palin in my case. They will blame us again when Romney loses.
I don’t think Rush gives a crap about Clear Channel. They need HIM a lot more than vice versa.
He’s just rambling because all this Newt stuff caught him by surprise and his ego was bruised.
People are royally pissed because they have been sending him stuff all day which he refuses to post.
Just out of curiosity, would you rather hear what is going to come out on Newt now or later? Now, if you think it bad enough, there is still an alternative (Santorum). If it comes out later, as it would, we could already be at the Newt or Obama stage. I like to make a considered choice. Yes, it might change some minds about Newt, but mostly you will have people during the election saying, “That’s old stuff; I heard it before.”
—Im so freakin confused, what is the goal here with Rush.—
My theory is that he’s using the “Can you believe they’re calling Newt a wife beater!” line to wash his hands of calling Newt a wife better. It gives him cover, and later, plausible denial.
It’s cowardly and disgusting. Worse, he knows Newt is better than Mitt. Some outside force is acting on him.
The alternative is that he’s become unglued, like Ann.
Piffle, IMPR. Pure piffle. Opinions are whining now? Expressing dislike for a topic being covered or not covered is trolling. Oh, well. You should get the ‘rules of the Rush thread’ all written up and post them at the top. Not sure you’re qualified to make those rules, but you try. You try.
And another thing . . .
If the “Establishment” and the Conservative punditry, et al, are going to pick our candidates, why bother having debates and primaries in the first place?
Why not just have them get into their smoke-filled rooms and crown their “choice” and be done with it already??
I like the Noot people. I have several friends who are Noot people. ;) LOL.
We don’t need people to tell us what to think, we need principles to define how we analyze candidates. I admire several people who have decided to back candidates that left me scratching my head. I don’t jump onboard with that candidate and I don’t hate the person I admire for making a decision I don’t agree with.
I think we’re lazy, as a culture, when it comes to politics. Quickest soundbyte wins. Endorsements by “popular” people wins. I keep hoping we grow beyond this, but instead we seem to rapidly resort to this behavior more quickly than in the past, each election cycle. Heck it’s not even February yet. :(
you seem to get in a pissin match daily......drama is addictin......and you are stage 4
they can’t refute the facts about what rush is discussing
so they are looking to cast doubt on rush by questioning his ‘motivations’
liberal diversion tactic
might work if they could back it up
McCain lost because those vaunted moderates whose asses that McCain and the GOP elites live to kiss voted for Obama.
the CT SS# has been out there for a couple of years and I’ve wondered why no issue is made of it - figured there must be ‘no issue’.
SUre they will. Just as they owned McCain's dismal effort.
That was Bush's fault.
you did not get the memo it appears
Ann Coulter is now Andrew Coulter
Did I ping you? I don’t remember doing that.
-— Getting the truth out. Much of this is also documented with audio and video clips. As Rush said until this all hit today, he had no idea any of this was taking place. I also think he’s preparing us for what’s coming from the liberals not only about Newt, but about anyone else who’s going up against Obama.——
None of which amounts to a hill of beans. Mariane was their best hope. Now they’re unloading what little they have left.
< center>looks like Myth, Is back on the hot-plate.
I still shudder rememberin the Dole / Spears commercials
I met Dole BTW.........
Actually, IIRC, McCain’s aides immediately came out and blamed Sarah Palin.
Oh I hope that the fly buzzes all about it as soon as they can:)
I remember seeing Gov. Brewer on O’Really...she wasn’t suffering that fool and wouldnt let him bully her.
Rush is talking about bank re-financing. It is happening, but not without qualifying, at least not at Wells Fargo.
We have been receiving offers to re-fi our mortgage at 3.85% on a thirty year loan, but the qualifying is tighter than ever. It’s a pain, but it’s a half percentage point lower than what we had.
Some of the less reputable mortgage companies that we have received offers from might not be as strict.
Wells Fargo is paying 4% on the savings, so the 3.85% is pretty good.
Just because you’ve decided you’ve finished your vetting of Noot, doesn’t mean everyone else has to come to that decision. Being angry at others’ who’ve not come to your conclusion would make you a blind follower.
I don’t begrudge you settling on your candidate; don’t begrudge someone else for not coming to that conclusion yet.
I think the more vetting that happens in the primary, the better. Makes those October surprises a little less shocking. Perhaps that was our mistake with Obummer - we got all his negatives out in the open too early. (slightly tongue in cheek comment above)
Again, not every supporter of every candidate is a blind follower, and if you’ve taken that away from what I’ve said then I apologize. There are blind followers of EVERY candidate; “bots” if you will, who merely parrot every talking point, without thought, of their cult leader.
I resent when people refuse see the flaws that each candidate has. I resent the Mittbots who insist that Romneycare isn’t a flaw, I resent the Nootbots who insist that his constant misappropriation of his own history isn’t a flaw, I resent the Santorum folk who insist his inability to get more votes isn’t a flaw and I resent the Paulbots for their inability to be rational about anything remotely regarding Paul. I’m an equal opportunity vat of resentment when it comes to politicians, which, at their heart, is what each of these guys are. They are each career politicians, and dishonest by nature. “Trusting” them is only setting yourself up for future disappointment when they get in office and start veering to the left after your vote isn’t important to them any longer.
Exactly why is Rush susceptible to pressure from ANYONE??”
I never stated any of those hypotheticals. Clearly, the insiders like their current power, prestige and fortunes. Newt represents a threat to that establishment as does the Tea Party.
Rush's coverage of the primary has clearly changed in favor of a neutral attitude towards Romney while quoting numerous hit pieces on Newt.
Rush admitted he has Romney calling him pressuring for more favorable treatment.
Are you saying this is all coincidence or are you implying that Rush is a willing party to this; hence, he is doing this willingly? (It would seem the admitted Romney phone call pressure would support my theory of duress.)
went like this.............
O exits the plane, sees Jan and walks up extended hand
before she shakes it he says he did not understand why she was not more cordial to him in her book
She said well, you shorted my time to speak
what was said next was inaudible but Jan responded that is a damned lie and you know it
O said sumpthin else unaudible and Jan again said that is a damned lie, you know it is
She then ax’d if he was gonna discuss immigration
O responded....Why ? We fixed it
Jan was ax’n a question when O just walked away from her
as O was leavin he shot her the bird in that 1 finger face palm he is famous for....
A supporter on the tarmac told Jan ....she turned looked, saw and mutter’d
can you believe the rates are this low? golden opportunity
the rates under carter were like 12% - kinda gives perspective
Whatever. I know it’s difficult to be rational when it’s so much more fun for you to be hysterical, so whatever you need to tell yourself to get through the day. I don’t have any interest in making any rules, but whatever you feel necessary to post about me, go ahead, have fun. If it helps bolster your self esteem, call me whatever you feel necessary.
I typically only respond when directly addressed because I don’t feel the need to constantly engage in a ridiculous battle with people who don’t see the world 100% the way I do. I wished others would be so courteous, but I realize there are people who desperately need attention. I could care less about your opinions of me, Rush, Noot, Paul, Reagan, or the thread.
And Jeffrey Immelt/GE?
grandson’s dad just qualified to buy his 1st home....3.75 percent fixed.....up to 175k and 3 % down
we be lookin
So do I actually. Nice nice people. But maybe not-so-good at reading personality cues, deciphering gobblygook and most of all understanding the american electorate. It’s maddening.
In this culture, most people just don’t have inclination to pay attention. They want to be validated by a soundbyte and jump on it. And then jump off it. And then back on it again. Media frenzy drives it, ignorance feeds it.
Yes, it’s early, but it feels like 10 years already.
Yes they sure did blame Palin.
I am going to get flamed. I know...but, do you get the feeling Santorum’s holding on (and letting Myth & Noot beat each other up) might be more faith based that political? It sounds crazy, but on other forums I visit, FL posters are campaigning for him on his involvement in the Terri Schiavo case. And after all these years it’s FL that could be his make or break point. I know it’s not logical at all. Just a bigger picture.
even the local news pricks were alarmed O never mentioned immagration once...not a word....
Good, I was gettin’ worried I was going to have get a Mitt bumper sticker because Rush said so. /sarcasm, for those who can’t tell.
Rick will be gone by monday............no money...no gravitas, no chit
In So. Cal, thanks to Carter, the rates reached as high as 18%, higher on seconds.
That was what spurred the end of the assumable mortgage. Everyone was assuming the old mortgage (no qualifying) and then taking out a second to make up the difference, seconds and thirds.
In the words of Nelson Rockefeller's public relations head, Stuart Spencer Establishment (Rockefeller) Republicans vowed:
"We had to destroy Barry Goldwater as a member of the human race."
But later in the General election Goldwater went after LBJ and the Tenth Amendment opponents..
Establishment (Rockefeller) Republicans protested
"Racists! You Goldwater supporters are 'purveyors of hate' . . . ."
Establishment Republicans: "We have to destroy
Palin(Done!) Cain(Done!) Newt as a member of the human race."
Then in the General Election Newt may vow.. "We have to be critical of Obama, emphasize his faults . . . . "
"Racists! No! No! We're not the Party that does things like that . . . ."
Like 1964 Establishment Republicans today get tons of help from the MSM.
The most frustrating part is the overwhelming feeling I have that perfectly ripe opportunity to have a great conservative candidate has been frittered away, and the incredibly empty feeling I get when I see these four on stage.
damn skippy.....course this yute is lookin 5 bedroom w/ a pool............
he needs a pool like I need another hole in my butt
I asked the loan rep why this was being offered. He said that it was a result of the European situation and the bond market.
Put in the Guv’s position, I’d have skipped The 0’s grand entrance, most likely in favor of beating my thumb with a hammer.
He’s not even reaching standards of The Chicago Way anymore.
(please, please, pretty please...let someone have a photo of Barry flipping the bird. Please!!!)
