Even worse, is the fact that Noot has admitted lying about refuting the ABC interview. He should really think before he starts blustering.
Interesting hearing in Georgia the morning streamed on line in which the challengers to the right of Obama to be on the Georgia ballot were able to put substantive evidence on the record uncontested as a result of the Obama decision to not appear.
The issues in the three cases were that Obama’s father was not a US citizen at the time of his birth, and therefore was not a natural born citizen; that the birth certificate was a forgery that was posted on line by Obama; the social security number for Obama could not be verified; and that he resigned his law license in Illinois because of his identity issues.
It was hard to hear the audio, but in my opinion, the attorney’s did well, but it would have been nice to have a better presentation from the female attorney, Orly T (sp?)...who is not very experienced in court and presented good evidence in a truly horrible way, without even really knowing basic rules of evidence and the process for admitting that evidence in trial.
The Administrative law judge will eventually issue a ruling which I believe is subject to oversight by the district court judge.
I believe the effect of a favorable ruling would be to keep him off the ballot and disqualify him from any write-in campaign as well.
If he was going to lose Georgia anyway, he probably doesn’t care. I wonder what would happen in a swing state?

Nice summary! O’s attorney did not appear (and neither did O despite being subpoenaed). O’s attorney did not file an amended motion to quash the subpoenae, but instead wrote a crybaby letter to the GA SOS asking him to take the case away from the court. He got a prompt smackdown from the SOS (do not appear “at your peril”). Guess he & O decided that they’d risk the “peril” rather than have to testify under oath in court. Besides, abiding by the law is SO beneath Barry.

At the very least, he’s started off by parroting every hit-piece that Drudge has posted (which, last count, was up to a DOZEN).

That’s the question I was going to ask. It’s been swept under the media rug (I guess it’s not important like Lindsay Lohan or Anna Nicole Smith proceedings—no cable network covered it).

Orly Taitz was to submit her testimony in writing and I assume the record will be left open until that submission. No time line was stated for its submission in open court, but I assume she will have a day or two at least to submit it. Then a decision will be made.
I think it is an advisory decision which the Georgia Secretary of State would then consider and approve or modify as the record warrants.
A statement from the SOS that you proceed at your own peril by not showing up is merely a warning that you may suffer the consequences of not rebutting testimony offered, or of not submitting factual grounds to support the addition of Obama on the ballot.
My gut reaction is that Rush dislikes Newt, but likes what he says (since it mirrors Rush’s own beliefs) and likes Romney (possibly because he’s a rich white guy) but recognizes he’s a flip-flopping RINO.

I followed the live thread here (can’t stream at work... Even on my phone)...but was fascinated by the Nancy Pelosi verifying TWO differently worded Eligibility Affidavits. One omitting the Constitutional part of the BHO’s eligibility. That was compared to the ONE version of Republican Verification Affidavit. All three instruments were entered into the Court record.
Amazing that everything we have read, discussed here is now on official transcript record in the Court system in Georgia.

If I have heard of some, you can be sure the Democrats have heard of more. Nancy Pelosi's intimations are timely. Newt up against the Prophet Obama would be a painful thing to watch. He might be deft with one-liners but it would be futile. There are independent and other uncommitted voters to be cultivated in 2012 -- all would be unmoved by Newt's juggling of conservative shibboleths.
Newt and Bill, as 1960s generation self-promoters, share the same duplicity, ostentatious braininess, a propensity for endless scrapes with propriety and the law. They are tireless hustlers. Now Newt is hustling my fellow conservatives in this election. The last time around he successfully hustled conservatives in the House of Representatives and then the conservatives on the House impeachment committee. He blew the impeachment and in fact his role as Speaker. He backed out in disgrace. He now says Republicans in the House were exhausted with his great projects. Nonsense, I knew many of them, and they were exhausted with his atrocious leadership. He is not a leader. He is a huckster. Today Mitt Romney has 72 Congressional endorsements. Newt has 11. Possibly the 11 have yet to meet him.
