Posted on 01/26/2012 12:07:59 PM PST by jakerobins

Last week, TV chef Paula Deen announced that she’s been suffering from type 2 diabetes for the past three years. She acknowledged that a person has “to make changes in your life” but apparently, Deen hasn’t apparently changed all that much. TMZ posted a photo of Deen woolfing down a cheeseburger on Monday while on a 7-day Caribbean cruise. The 65-year-old chef was hosting her annual Party at Sea vacation for 400 fans. TMZ says Deen also had fries on her plate.

A while back, the Weekly Standard ran a piece that documented how American "obesity" is being used to replace "global warming/climate change" by the Left. They're starting with "the epidemic of childhood obesity". This is why Michelle is showing up on episodes of "icarly" and "The Suite life" and doing interstitial short promos for her "Lets Move Project".

The myth of America's childhood obesity crisis is in full swing and when you hear those words, take note that what follows is propaganda for the government to take control of corporate and individual rights.

I’m going into NYC tonight where there has been a renaissance of burger eating! There’s a gourmet burger joint on every corner. I’m gonna eat one tonight and toast Paula!

The libs are politicizing food for one reason - you can control the population through it. 20 years from now we’ll probably be on the road to famine...

Cheeseburgers are my weakness. I usually have two a month. Rabbit food just doesn't hit the spot some days.

I hate Hamburger Nazis. And they'd best keep their dirty damn paws off my liquor, too. Nothing these people do is ever about what they claim it is about, but always instead: power, money and control.

I don’t even want to guess what a burger costs in Manhattan these days (much less the ever-delicious corned beef sandwich I used to get for lunch at the Carnegie Deli about a quarter of a century ago)...

What a great song - a little OT but 30 years ago my late brother and I ran a commercial fishing boat in Southeast Alaska and usually after a week of fish, rice and oreos we would plug in that Jimmy Buffet tape and head for a small village called Pelican for a cheeseburger in paradise. Thanks.

I’m gonna head to Jake’s Way Back for a triple and fries. Red wine with the burger and Woodford Reserve for dessert

The two I read belong to my ex-wife, so I don’t have the title in front of me. But they would have been publish back eight to ten years ago, if that helps.

The only good burger place near me(Im in Los Angeles) is Johnny Rockets..we have a burger king and McDonalds here too but I think Johnny Rockets has better meat(As my sister would say, real meat LOL) oh and I LOVE onion rings, damn now Im hungry
Liberals are hypocrites. I dont care what the Obama’s eat, if Michelle wants to pig out, that’s fine, but she goes around promoting healthy eating and kids being forced to eat crappy health food when she goes around eating fatty foods shows what hypocrites the Obama’s are

People who take diabetes medication can have the occasional cheeseburger.

You're right so long as she maintains her blood glucose level in the normal range except for temporary spikes after meals. Most diabetics find it maddening to avoid all forbidden foods. I'm one of them.

Well, of course, it depends on where you have your burger. You can still get one for under $5. When you come back to NYC (if you do!), try Katzes’ corn beef (hot dogs, too) or 2nd Avenue Deli.

Good choice. My company’s got a couple of offices in and around Philly and I hear that’s a popular spot. Sometimes I get serious craving for a Fve Guys Burger and a mountain of fries...

I remember Katz's - way downtown, I think. Great big kosher pickles and kasha knishes. Jewish soul food. Okay, now I'm hungry. ;-)

Five Guys is very good. I’ve heard that the In-N-Out Burger in California is excellent.
