I think sending requests to drop out is in poor taste anyway.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. I did NOT ask him to drop out. I made a request that he support Newt in FLORIDA against the Romney machine - & ask his FLORIDA supporters to do the same.
Truly amazing speach.... as profound as Reagans when the peoples hearts were so dispondant at that time.
Newt knows the people have to be galvanized to accomplish the work now and ahead...he cannot do it without the people as there is no doubt the opposition will continue.
However I somehow believe that because Newt realizes what needs to be done for our nation to recover and thrive again, that as the people turn to God again the Lord will open the way for this to happen. If, however the people resist the Lord, then neither Newt nor any man will be able to stop the trajectory we are on....this IMO is our last chance and we’ll know soon enough if we even still have one.
As I explained to another poster, I don’t like or trust Cain.
He didn’t do this until Newt seemed to be The One.
And his own marital history is nothing to brag about. Newt doesn’t need that.
He’s got his reasons for doing this and they are not unselfish. Just my opinion.

But flooding Santorum with requests to drop out is wrong in my opinion and especially now with his daughter in the hospital.
Well, my family and I have done a lot of thinking and Newt has 8 votes in Florida.
I think Cains political ideas are in the right place...but I do agree that he is a bit of a publicity whore, and he did this more for him than for Newt.
Try to not be so anal retentive, such a victim, so easily offended by the posts of passionate freepers in the heat of our battles.

I thank you for the explanation. I am at peace with the Santorum voters actions on Tuesday and only sorrow for their ignorance, but many of us are fasting and praying for over the course of the next hours through Tuesday and GOD’s will shall be done. We are going to get the leader and president we deserve.
Newt is handling them gingerly, you are correct. I am saying it more directly only because I believe it to be true, that they are “good men doing nothing”, a mathmatical certainty to boot when you look at the outcome such a vote brings, just as they believe that purity trumps saving the nation from Romney or Obama.
Fortunately, Santorum has sunk from 16 to 9 in Florida and so many must be getting the picture as Newt is said tonight to be tightening. Thank you for explaining, Josh.

Yes, it’s Bella his special needs daughter. This is one of many times she has had need of medical intervention. But the sweet darling has already defied the odds surpassing what most survive with her condition.
May God truly continue to equip both Rick and his wife to trust Him for thier daughter in all situations faced.

As I stated before - I DID NOT ask him to drop out. Only for support in the FLORIDA vote. I live in Florida & his help would be of great benefit to stop Romney.
It was quick and so uninspiring. I’m sure Romney or his coaches listened to Newt and Mitt will be copying some of his speech.
