The establishment is fighting back, alright.
This has not received a lot of national attention, but the Republican legislature in Florida is about to push through a plan which puts Allen West at serious risk, and the person leading the effort is one of Mitt Romney’s spokemen. As reported by The Shark Tank:

Becoming increasingly clear that for the past decade, Romney has been working a ‘grand strategy’ for this 2012 nomination.
He has had plenty of time and money to build a covert operation in every State with the help of Governors, legislators and also the GOP US Congress.
Romney bought Nikki Haley, Pam Bondi, Marco Rubio, John McCain and others. No wonder the GOP establishment has been pro-Romney and critical or silent on Newt, Santorum, Perry, Paul, Bachmann and Huntsman.
More diabolical than the Hillary vs. Obama contest and don’t underestimate the Axelrod oppo research to produce all the records of donations and promises.
Unreal...but nothing is beneath these people. And I’m talking Republicans.

Redistricting a black candidate out of office will present it’s own set of problems.
She states that ObamaCare would bankrupt the states but RomneyCare is set up so states can make their own decision. What? She conveniently left out that if a state adopts RomneyCare, it will go bankrupt as it's just ObamaCare with a different name.

The Republican establishment and Romney with his minions of covert ops and snipers have been trying to kill the tea Party for 2 years. Sofar they have been somewhat successful. They took out Palin. They took out Cain. They took out Backman. They humbled the new congressional members and now seek to finish things off. Remaking the Republican party into thier progressive view of things is hard work but they are going to do it even if it kills the country.. Marxism or fabian socialism is our future unless we can prevail in this election.

Newt, Palin, Cain, West, and possibly Paul could form a nice core for a new party. If that many influential people banded together others would follow. Then Romney and the rest of the socialism supporting scum could finish what remains of the GOP (what’s left now certainly doesn’t live up to the “Grand” moniker)

Corrine Brown though still has her seat being gerrymandered into continued existance. So, the GOP majority legislature is definitely anti West for purely political reasons within the party so much so they would rather have a dem take his seat then he, a conservative republican, remain in DC.
Well, if this stands, it is time for a third party and I don’t care if the GOP ever wins another election anywhere...we can do our own gerrymandering. Please no one tell me this is bad because the dems will win. The difference between the “moderate” GOP and the rabid dems is a distinction without a difference. Let them spend the country into extinction, the real spirit of America will rise from the ashes. This government has become nothing envisioned by the founders. Time for a redo in the US and if it cannot be done constitutionally, let it be done by the bankruptcy referees.

While she may be the best looking Attorney General, her discussion of this issue reinforces the blond “air-head” image !!! Goodness gracious she had difficulty making any sense as to who Obamacare is bad and unconstitutional, but RomneyCare is different !!
If he doesn’t have a district to run in, he can run for President.
A similar thing happened to Newt back in the early 80s. He was 6th District congressman, when the 6th District was in Middle Georgia. The dims who were in control of the Georgia legislature then, redistricted and did away with Newt's district, but created a conservative district in the North Atlanta suburbs and renamed it the 6th District. Newt moved up from Middle Georgia to the "New 6th", won and you know the rest.

Romney is extremely rich and has a lot of private sector influence. He also has no hardcore conservative beliefs that would keep him from being a complete big-government gop stooge. He believes in money and power and that’s it.

West and Palin need to join forces with Newt to beat Romney and win the White House in 2012. I think the more conservative powerhouses that Newt can bring into his campaign, the better our chances to win in 2012 and save our country. I’d love to see West and Palin make time to drop in and stump with Newt. Newt all the way to the White House in 2012!

So true, Psalm. Most “Old” Republicans would rather tie up with a democRAT than fellow Conservative Republicans. Sarah Palin was fought by romney’s people. If this is indeed the case, then I will break ties with the GOP. It appears now that the both parties have been co-opted and the normal people on the street have no say in how the government is run.
