Training, Targets and D.C. - This Week on Gun Talk Radio

Mandeville, LA – It’s training, targets, and obtaining a firearm in D.C., this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk (R) Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.

Author and Instructor Massad Ayoob stops by Gun Talk Sunday to talk training and more. As an instructor for law enforcement for more than 40 years, Ayoob now brings his extensive knowledge to The Massad Ayoob Group, offering training for both private citizens and law enforcement. Emily Miller, Senior Editor at The Washington Times and a resident of D.C., has been trying to purchase a firearm for months now. Her saga has been chronicled in both articles and blog posts at The Washington Times. Next Monday, Miller is testifying in front of the D.C. City Council on the hardships of obtaining a firearm as a D.C. resident. Read more at The Washington Times website: http://www.washingtontimes.com/staff/emily-miller/.

Next Monday, Miller is testifying in front of the D.C. City Council on the hardships of obtaining a firearm as a D.C. resident

I have been following her horrifying articles. I think it must have been easier to obtain a private firearm in the old Soviet Union than it is today in Washington DC!

I suspect her testifying about her "hardships" before the City Council buffoons will resulting in nothing more than a lot of snickering and guffawing from the attending hizzoners - just as it often did from the assorted petty bureaucrats who were "helping" her while she was jumping through the almost insurmountable hoops before her.

Anyone silly enough to think keeping and/or bearing a firearm in Washington DC is some kind of a "right" (even after Heller) is deluding themselves. The fascists are still firmly in control there and they are not giving an inch.

Ms. Miller would get her pistol faster if she were applying for it in Beijing instead of the Capital city of the United States of America!

Starbucks has come out in support of a bill that would make Washington the seventh state to legalize gay marriage.

Starbucks can keep their damned expensive coffee. And their gay clientele.

Everybody always talks tough on the internet, but the truth is, that if you have to defend yourself with gun, it is going to cost you a pile of money unless you have something like this to back you up.

In Texas the state often pays the cost of a Grand jury if you are found innocent, but I feel better KNOWING that the cost will be covered.

I haven't seen a Free Republic thread posted on this yet (I may do one later), but a guy shot himself in the hand at a gun show here in Knoxville this afternoon. And to beat it all, the fellow is a vendor/dealer.

It's a story we have heard before. Took out his personal gun (Kimber .45) to show to a customer, removed the mag but (you guessed it) failed to clear the chamber.

First rule he broke was the obvious "Always treat every weapon as being loaded". Second rule broken was that no loaded weapons are allowed at the gun show. No serious injuries, but that could have been a nightmare. Gives the rest of us a bad name. I don't think he will be welcome at anymore RK gun shows!

I know a guy who bought a collection from a deceased fellows family.
They inspected all of the rifles to insure that they were unloaded and put them out on display.

A month later a customer picked up one of the rifles opened the bolt, and a live round flew out!

I see people pick up guns all the time in situations like that and just pull the trigger.
