The common characteristics among the “establishment” Republicans are as follows:

1-They all want to see Barack Obama defeated.

2-They all have bought into the myth that the ideal candidate will have to tack to the middle to garner independent votes in the general election.

3-None of them have worked in the private sector and thus they cannot grasp the depth of emotion among private sector players, who feel folded, spindled, mutilated, maligned and persecuted.

4-Since most of them are pundits, they ascribe far too much power to the media’s ability to persuade, and consistently underestimate the power of the tea parties and the new media, which arose due to the conditions outlined in #3.

Cases in point: 2010 election smack-down of Democrats, 2012 South Carolina primary, Florida 2012?

I have yet to be convinced that the “Establishment” Republicans want to see obama defeated. From what I can see and hear, the “Establishment” Republicans in both Houses of Congress do not even believe that we, as a Nation, are in a serious crisis and our future depends on wich way the 2012 election goes.

Yep, and "Romney is electable because of polls long before the election" . And I always respond with this.

1. How can Romney beat Obama.
2. How will Romney get independent voters (They look for competence and trust more than ideology). Romney isn't trusted. That's his problem. Always was.
