Tomorrow voters will go out to make their choice for a candidate which will best reflect this nations heart and that of it's people.... may your Holy Spirit impress on their very souls the way you would have them to go.
We do pray for Newt Lord...as he himself kneels before you, that you would strengthen his mind, body and soul to with stand the attacks of the fiery foe... . Refresh him inwardly and outwardly as you have others in battle.. and help him to rely fully on you he walks thru this path you have given him...Arm him mightily and protect all that is precious to him as he continues to remind us all of our roots and the greatness of what our country was destined to become.
We also pray for those you've placed within Newt's circle, those he depends on to assist and give him council...may their minds and hearts be knitted with yours and the exchange of thought and ideas come from you as they determine the moves ahead with Newt.
Newt has asked that the people be “with” him Lord...and we ask in response that you be “with” Newt as well. May your Divine will be met in all concerned in this day ahead...and may we all continue to look to you for the outcome then and thereafter.

Some thoughts that are in my mind at this point in America’s history:
God is faithful; all scripture shall be fulfilled. No nation lives forever, but each soul shall. How can it not be a sin to knowingly assist a malevolent man’s ascent to power? How can I mock another man’s repentance, and expect any to respect my own? Do not fear those who can only kill the body, whether they have attained power, or simply lust for it. Our home is not on this earth, or in these bodies.
God is not mocked. Not by any person. Not by any nation.
Sin has consequences, the results will follow.
Coming to you in this the night watch when all is calm to petition you again for this election event in Florida.
Lord, you have encouraged us to be specific in our requests Lord, and that we may enter boldly into your presence to make these requests....but we are so limited in how to express the inexpressible when our hearts are as deeply concerned for our nation and it's people as in these times. Even so we come......
Lord just as Newt has asked forgiveness in his life...we too have asked forgiveness for our infidelity in having left our ‘First Love’... and or grown luke warm in that which we too first committed to you....
....Some of us, as with Peter, have walked with you at a distance, ......others have turned their backs to you altogether, ...and yes some have warmed themselves near the enemy's fire.......but Lord we are here together... now...just as we are......hearts and minds looking to you and boldly asking that you show yourself...your power... to move the course of this Florida vote to that which would be favorable to our country and it's people...Divert and distract those who have “other” hidden agendas for this country....stand in the way Lord God.
We also intercede for those who believe they are doing the right thing but are blinded to the realities as they are.....Remove their blindness Lord so that they might see the truth of what's really at stake, let their eyes and ears hear and see thru yours and not their own....move their will so that it is aligned with yours.
Lord... we also pray for Newt...Let this night be one of resting in you. You know His frame Lord...you knew him before he was formed in the womb, and you knew he would come to the place he is....Bless his great efforts tomorrow Lord, as He has asked of you...let the vote be favorable to him....in Jesus name .....for His Glory... may you show favor to Newt.

In this case I am minded of the Serentity Prayer as being appropriate:
God grant me the serenity
